Aw sweetie, I'm so sorry. I would've fallen apart too. How's your dad? I'm afraid to ask that one, I hope it doesn't cause more pain.

We're holding our own down here. Poor hubs has had employee trouble all year. People just don't want to work.

Dad isn't doing well. He was to have stints put in last week in his legs and they found almost total blockage and calcification of his arteries. He has almost no circulation in both legs and can barely walk. All this really got worse after I left them in the beginning of the summer. Mom had her hip replaced last spring. I was up there for several months to take care of them. She's slipping a little since her surgery, too.

The rest of us are well. I'm going to be a grandma again! My oldest son and dil are going to have a ? in April. We find out boy/girl next week. My granddaughter, the amazing Em, is the cutest little stinker on the planet!! LOL

Youngest son transferred to his 4 year school this past fall, so we have an empty nest. I'm pretty sure I don't like it. I miss my kids so much. None of them are close, but they aren't more than 6 hours away.

Buddy came back and decided home isn't so bad after all! He takes walks down the road and chases our neighbor's boyfriend's car, but otherwise he's back to normal.

I guess that's the highlights for now!LOL Another novel in the making, huh!?!

Thanks, T. I am, but there's not much I can do right now. I told mom I could come back up, but she said no. What is even worse, my favorite aunt has been battling cancer for several years. She found out the same week that she has a couple of tumors in her brain. She says she's ready. My uncle passed away a few years ago from cancer. It's so hard to deal with, because she was so bouncy and happy when I was home. I'm so glad I found time to hang out with her and some of her friends. They play dominoes and they are sharks!! I did win a couple of times, though!

sounds like we are all dealing with loss and the pain that brings. TB, i am sorry for all you have on your plate right now. mom and dad not doing well, kids gone, fav aunt ill also. damn, that's a sad sandwich for sure.

at least buddy came home. i was worried about him.

my dad has moved to oklahoma, near my youngest sister.

the day after my mom passed, my dad went all kinds of crazy, wanting to know where all the money was. how much money did he have? i did not handle that well. my sister came up and handled my dad. i moved full time to the farm. i like it here. i want my mom though, all the time. i am getting so i can go for hours now and not think about it. i call that progress.

i hope you don't guilt yourself over what you can and cannot do for your family. you have done a great deal and i know how much you value your family. they know that too.

I'm ok, most of the time. Really. Those two are super stubborn and ALL the rest of my family is up there, so it's not like they're all on their own.

I'm afraid of a similar scene playing out in my family, like yours. If mom would go first, big bro couldn't handle my dad. He wouldn't want to move down here, but he'd have to. He would be totally lost without mom. If dad goes first, mom wouldn't leave Ohio. Everything is there for her. All of her friends that are still alive and the little bit of family that's her age. I thought it was too hard when my grandma died, but I never dreamed watching my parents get old would be so hard.

I hope you've found some peace, TG. I takes forever, I know. I was so hoping you would come back on while I was up there. I met Nine's! It took me forever to get together with her and it was too short of a time, but I hoped we could've made it a threesome! Good thing the perv's aren't on this thread!LOL

i was shocked by what happened, is still happening.

i wish i could have met up with you both. it would have been great. all i can say is i am an odd person. with odd issues. i look normal though! zad

i bet nine's is a wonder. i'm eating a peanut butter and jealousy sammich right now.

i have found a sort of peace. i gotta get myself in shape to get a job though. i have to have an income.sigh

it has been the hardest thing i have ever done, watching my parents grow older by the day. i did get to hold my mom while she left. i am grateful for that.

i co-sign on the perv issue. no pervs allowed. at all. seriously.

i love you TB.

Awww TG. You make me smile or laugh all the time. There's energy even in the words you type and you refresh all of us.

As much as it's appreciated, you have to know that it's not necessary. We love you whether you're up or down, tired or bursting with energy.

You've had a whole lot of heartache in a short time. My heart goes out to you. We've all been feeling pretty weighted down lately I think, so know you're not alone with some unpleasant emotions.

I'm sorry about your Mom. Don't want to imagine how that hurt, and will hurt. She's so fortunate that she had you close, and to know she passed on her knowledge. I know the satisfaction that must have given her.

So glad you still have Sam Man. Forgive me If I'm wrong, but your Dad sounds like a real turd.

Wasn't Sadie your dog? You and Sam both must be missing the other dogs a lot. It's good your Dad went to OK. though. It'll be good for someone else to deal with him for a while.

Bet your little kitties are just adorable and must bring you many smiles. They'll be good to keep the mice down too. Bet Mama kitty is really proud.

I had to help an old kitty leave the world a couple days ago. He had liver disease. We thought he might recover and gave him a month to do it. He had everything possible done for him and was being syringe fed. Until the last two days, he had a will to live and was quite comfortable. Then he let me know he'd had enough. It was hard but he had a good vet and his death was peaceful.

Pupster is still as awesome as ever, thank you for asking. He's just off the walls with energy. So much to do, then the kitty sick and needing lots of care, so he's been feeling needy and encouraging me to get my behind in gear and get with the program. He's such a pal.

Only uninvited drop in has been a Beagle. He made his home with us. He's trouble with a capital T, but has such a loving heart, (to humans anyway, he goads pupster) and he makes me laugh. He tests you to the point you're ready to scream, then you look at his silly smile and just laugh.

Also added a raccoon. Not really added him, just raised him, but he's still here. He's a real sweetie. He earned the name Dude, which became Dudely. He's technically wild now, but we still cross paths and give each other a respectful smile and loving looks. Now that it's getting colder, I don't see him so much, but his food is gone each night and the pocket in a chair that has a cookie in it each night is gone every morning. 8)

He dug a hole through the roof to live in the attic over the kitchen, but some hay, his toys, and a little girls purse with pockets regularly filled with cheerios or nutter butters, tempted him to move his home to the top of the hay bales near the rafters in the barn.

Yes, I did meet TB. We had lunch at a seafood place by the lake and sat outside by the lake. It was awesome, and like she said, we didn't have enough time, but treasured what we had. She's very special and I hope you get to meet her.

I hope you're happy, TG, and hope you stay that way. We're a ways apart, but close enough that if you need something, I can get there. Keep that in mind.

Are you heating with wood, gas, or what? Is the farmhouse insulated enough that you'll be ok through the winter? You have a means to protect yourself out there? No need to be specific, but just know that alone is sometimes not the best place for a woman in the country. Ask me how I know this. LOL. Make sure you teach Sam Man how to curl his lip and show his pearly whites to any uninvited people.

Glad you're back TG. Like dear, sweet, Mama, I haven't been online much but sure am glad I checked the thread to see you back. Hugs to you.

PS. Don't let the O in your karma freak you out. Ugh. Was going to say So glad you're back, but missed the S and must have hit enter. UGH. At least I got the right color karma button. 8)

It was hard but he had a good vet and his death was peaceful.

thank you for your loving word, nine's. i appreciate you so much.

yes. my dad is a turd. yes, it's good he's with my sister. it has all just so sudden. the day after my mom is gone, he's freaking out and wanting to know where the money is, where i have hidden his money. i just went away for about 6 weeks and found myself waking up and he has most of his stuff packed. all bad and very sad.

i miss my mom so much i can hardly breathe at times. it's getting better, my friend...time, is helping.

glad to know you are still helping the wildlife and all the deizens of that wilderness. smart about the raccoon. they do love the sparklies!!!

sadie was my dad's dog, missy was mine. miss had lived with my dad all her life and my dad cried when i asked him to leave her with me. so, fucking fool that i am, let him take her. i did it for sadie. she would have been so lonely without her. but i cry because i miss my dogs. i am so tired of being sad.

it was kind and loving how you helped the kitty leave this world. it's hard to do, but one of the most important times of anythings life, right after birth. love is essential at both times.

i'm using a big natural? gas, lp gas? i have no fireplace that works. i do have a wood stove in the chicken coop.

i'm worried about how i'll manage for money, but i will figure it out as i go, just as i always have. my kids and sisters have been helping me out. it works out, they get free therapy and an ear to listen when they need to vent and i get to eat and feed my many animals.

i have many outside cats. they live in the barn, the woodpile and the coop. i'm trying to make a deal with a guy who has a mobile vet van and see if i can't get some of these cats neutered and spayed. we're still talking. wish me luck. i just can't allow them to breed uncontrollably and i'm feeding them. wall

my cat, blackie, is on my lap right now. he was an outside cat who had a cold or allergies. it was getting cold out, so i brought him inside. he acted like he had lived in a house his entire exsistance. he is so very loving, rubs his face against mine all the time. when he lays with me, he reaches his paw up and holds me with his claws. so sweet.snuge

i'm going to take pics tomorrow of the kittens. grizelda doesn't like me taking pics. don't know why.

love you much.
