Hey my dear friends,

Merry Christmas hugs

I haven't been here in a while. The past few months have been very trying, and I hope to clear my head now that it is the holidays, a new year, and a new school quarter. I hope to stay in touch with you all...

I hope you all are healthy, happy, and as beautiful as ever. I wish love and good blessing to all you and your families :)

Merry Christmas, everyone! You are NOT going to believe this! It's snowing here! We weren't supposed to get anything, but we did! About an inch, but it's blowing so much, it's hard to tell for sure and it looks like it'll keep it up for awhile. I got up when hubs got home from work and he said it had been snowing since about 4 am.

I wish I could show you all the pics my daughter sent of the amazing EM! She helped her mom make cookies for Santa last night and then she ATE them!! She was sitting up on the counter stirring and scooping cookie dough. It looks like it went better than when I did it with her mom!LOL

Anyway, hope y'all have a wonderful day.chilly

Christmas Morning Cinnamon Rolls

18 Rhodes frozen dinner rolls
1 Cube Butter
1/2 cup brown sugar
1 tsp vanilla
1-2 tsp cinnamon
1 box jello butterscotch pudding (the kind that has to cook)

Place the rolls in a bundt pan, or oversized disposable loaf pan. Melt butter and mix in brown sugar, vanilla, and cinnamon. Pour butter mixture over frozen rolls. Sprinkle pudding mix over the top. Cover loosely with foil and let rise on the counter overnight. Remove foil and bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes or so. Invert pan onto serving plate and enjoy.

Flava - I put this on the recipe thread too. These are so easy and yummy!

They are super easy. I make them for our neighbors every year and deliver them on Christmas Eve. It's a long running tradition. I hope you enjoy them as much as we do.

We kept it simple this year...lack of motivation due to having too much to handle the last few months. But I made our traditional ham, and all the goodies that go with it.

Good to see you OG. It seems everyone has kept Christmas sort of low key. It has been nice in a different sort of way. The tree we had in Ga went up 1 2 3 and had lights on it so that step was eliminated, and we didnt have ornaments, so I used some garland that was here and several Christmas teddy bears that usually sit on the mantle and on tables and put them on the tree, there were only 7 of them but they covered the parts of the tree that you can see and it looked really cute and took all of 30 mins to put up the entire thing. I took it down today cause we are leaving on Friday and I have to clean up and do laundry and stuff tomorrow.

I have a renewed energy to clean out my house in Fl when I get home and do a spring cleaning a little early. I already took out some stuff from my closet under the stairs and thats gonna be my starting point. There is so much crap there that is way in the back, if I havent used it recently its going to good will or somewhere other than my house! I am actually excited to be cleaning up. I have been feeling over cluttered for a few months and its taking a toll on me at this point.

The kicker was that we brought home videos to watch of when the kids were young up here to Ga, and I kept saying wow, look how un cluttered my house was, I loved it that way!

My family tends to save stuff, especially my hubby, and its crap that were never gonna use, so I have to pitch it when hes not home and drive it elsewhere, he is on to me and always checks the trash. Even he has said he wants to organize his closet and throw out alot of stuff so I guess 2012 may not have been the end of the world, but a new beginning! Yeay

I have that same feeling too! Like I need to clean out the entire house of crap! I even cleaned out the paper shredder tonight in hopes of firing it up and shredding years of unneeded documents!

It is amazing how clutter can weigh a person down!

Your hubby sounds like mine. He has t-shirts in the drawer that he had when I first started dating him 26 years ago! I have been accused many times of throwing his stuff away! LOL

Here's to new beginnings and 2013!

cheers

Yes, De-cluttering is the word of the season! I recently got my husband to part with his kung fu outfit, I cant remember what he calls it, a GEE I think, anyway it wasnt even white anymore it was yellow with darker yellow lines where it has been folded and on the closet top shelf for all 28 yrs we are married! He took those kung fu lessons back when he was in 7th grade!

Wow, we must all be thinking the same thing. We have this week off work and I have slated it for cleaning out the garage, closets, and kitchen cupboards. I feel like the house is about to burst. Who needs to keep all this stuff? I too have a husband that has accused me of throwing out his things. He was right...lol

Hi guys! I made a resolution last week. Next week, after youngest son goes back to school, I'm throwing stuff out, too. Actually, I've wanted to for awhile, but last week was it! You all will get done before me, but heck with it. Hubs keeps working stupid hours and I'm stuck here anyway, so...the dumpster is about to be filled! The kids left all this stuff here and said they don't want it. I'm going to find someone that does!

My mom is on the same track!

I think for me, the need for "things" is less than it has been. I have always been one of those persons who doesnt like to fill the closet or the shelf, but now its more of a primal need to rid myself of things that are not a necessity, a need to free myself of stuff.

It's kind of funny, really, my clutter problems started when grandma died and I got the things she wanted me to have. I found room for them. Then, mom started shipping stuff to me. NOW, I'm sending stuff to my daughter and boxing things up for the boys. Bye, bye, stuff! I need SPACE!!!

I can't wait for better weather to have a garage sale. Garage sale weather is at least 6 months away here. I'm going to sort it though (or at least I have a goal of sorting it) and see if I can donate to different charities. I know the women's shelter is always looking for household items for people they are helping start over. I will do the best I can to send things where they will be used, and the rest will go to goodwill or the giant dumpster at work.

I dont get to be bored much either TB. Dont have time for it. All I do know is my Christmas cactus' better all be in good shape when I get home or heads will roll.

I left blankets and instructions for if it got below 40 and I think there have been 3 nites below 40.

The first night I actually got pics of the covering on my phone.
