Hey, guys. To heck with the idiot, I need some sustaining! Everyone left today and hubs is at work. I didn't get to say good-bye to my daughter and Em. Sil came out and picked up youngest son, I don't know why they stayed in town. I know I'm being silly, but I need to know how you guys deal with it.

Even weirder, my 2 inside kittehs have stopped walking on the floor for about the last 2 weeks or so. They are walking only on the furniture! They're driving me nuts. They keep knocking stuff down and over. I haven't a clue why. Any ideas?

TB

Thats gotta be hard on you. I cant believe your daughter didnt recognize that you would want to say goodbye. Maybe she was packing up or something??

That would be depressing to me to, only I must be more obnoxious than you cause I would have made them take me back into town to say good bye and than bring me back. GEE thats why some of my family call me a bitch, but hey, I am the "general" around the house and in my house we dont have a democracy, its my way or the highway.

As for the cats, I havent the slightest idea. Maybe someone sprinkled cat nip on the couches or something.

Oh wow, TB. How that must have hurt. I'm not understanding why. Did they stay with you, or in town? If in town, did they just leave without saying good bye? Have you talked to them since and told them you were hurt?

No, they stayed in town with sil's family. They have more room than we do. I don't know why daughter stayed in town, yet. I haven't talked to her. It may be as simple as Em was being a poop. I'll find out later, when she calls me. Sorry I didn't answer sooner, my mom called at the same time you posted.

I'm sorry, guys. It's just been a rough day, with everyone leaving. It's too quiet now and I guess I'm just feeling sorry for myself. It'll be ok.

Don't be sorry TB. We're glad you share. You certainly aren't alone in having things happen that affect you or hurt you. I feel so bad for you.

Maybe there will be a good explanation for what happened.
Maybe they left early and didn't want to wake you. Something simple.

I hope so, and if there isn't, you should share that you were surprised, hurt, or whatever you felt. Whatever they were thinking, I'm sure they didn't know how it would affect you or they wouldn't have done it.

Hope your answers and reassurance come soon. It's not a nice way to feel. Hugs to you.

I know. Daughter has to have had a good reason, she wouldn't have done it to be a brat. I know that. I'm just a little down, I guess. Youngest son went back with them, so he could catch the train back to school. He WAS staying here. I miss my kids so much, it's harder this time. I really don't like the empty nest!!!

She'll call me when they get home, if it isn't too late and I'll ask her about it. If not, I'll talk to her tomorrow. She almost always calls me on her sync on the way home from work. I just must be over tired, I don't usually get so weepy. I hope this isn't one of my "feelings".

Awww. I know. It's hard on so many levels. It seems so empty when they leave.

No more testosterone or estrogen dripping from the ceilings. No war whoops when a favorite team is winning. No unforgotten soda cans tucked in an inconspicuous place for you to trip over. No crusted plates in the sink. No early morning or late night sounds that make you think someone is breaking in...or out. No one in the bathroom 23 hrs. out of 24. No washing machine running 4 hrs. a day. Always hot water available. It's miserable.

Seriously, it's the deafening quiet, the memories, the hugs, the hope, the worry. The lonely piece of cake that's leftover that you were hoping they'd eat. It's everything. Like they take your life force with them. Be assured though, you're in their heart whether they are with you or away.

You know that. Duuuah. Well, I gotta say something. HAHAHAHA!!

Sorry, didn't go too far. Had to switch loads.

That's it exactly!!! No more toilet seat up, and the surprise when you sit in the dark! No more arguements, no more contests to see who laughs so hard they snort first. We have such a cool family, can't you tell!

I can't tell you how much food I've thrown away since Sept. I'm so used to cooking for an army, I can't cook for two, let alone just me.

Thanks, Nine's and Flav. I know you guys have been through this all already. It wasn't near as hard with the oldest two as it is with the last kid. My mom, bless her, started to giggle. I asked to please don't poke today. I miss her too. I'm just having a homesick meltdown, I guess. Thankfully, I know when I get this way, I'll be ok after a good night's sleep.

Change of subject...Nine's, check out the new coaster for CP in the summer. Not going on that one either!!! I know they took out the Wildcat, but I don't know what they'll do with the rest of the rides in the front. They better not mess with Cedar Downs!!

It's a horrible thing to be homesick, for the home place or for people. Regardless how we try, sometimes it just creeps up on us.

I'll never get used to cooking less either. It seems like a waste just cooking a little food. Regardless of what you fix, if you fix enough for one or two, it doesn't seem like a meal. Dumb I guess, but it's not easy to get used to.

I'll check out the coaster. They wouldn't dare mess with Cedar Downs. LOL. Do they take down the old one up front? Blue Streak is it? That one is fun except for the jerk at the top that throws your back out if you aren't braced for it. LOL. They just keep going higher and faster on the coasters.

I just thought of something that makes me feel better when I'm missing someone I love. Music. More upbeat than usual, the kind that makes you want to get moving. Something that you might not ordinarily listen to. That, or talk radio. Kind of takes your mind off it til the psyche adjusts to them not being there. If that doesn't work, a nice cup of tea, a box of tissues and a good cry. LOL.

I'm getting better. I know I'm whining, but with hubs hours, you guys are about my only company. It helps to whinge a little. I'm done now!

I can't remember if the Blue Streak is still up front or not. I'm waiting for a new map on the web site. There wasn't one a couple of weeks ago. From the size of the new coaster, I think they'll have to move an aweful lot of things. New CEO guy better NOT Disney-fy our park!

Check this out! This is the new one. I forgot, youngest son told me it's on the lake. They took out Disaster Transport.huffy

I LOVED that coaster! It was air conditioned! I wonder if they'll take out the space needle, too. Idk.

Did you ever ride the carousel at the zoo? It's an antique, too. Pretty cool. I want to go the carousel museum in Sandusky, but no one else does. I think I'll go anyway next time. They have a really cool looking antique one there too.

Holy Crap. You'd sure want the front seat. The back riders might end up wearing the remains of a less coaster savvy persons lunch. LOL. Doubt they'll take the space needle don't you? Ugh. Nothing would get me up in that space needle. UGH!

We went to the zoo last year, but the new exhibits weren't open yet. We did get to see the baby elephant from a distance though. It's funny. The exhibits across the Trail were being updated this last time and the time before, it was under construction. We've never seen them!LOL I guess we need to go more often!

Aw, that's a shame. Yes, you should come more often. My heart just breaks for the critters though. Makes me feel so bad for them. The polar bears have it a lot nicer now with their new place. They always looked so miserable.

Things haven't seemed the same since Malaika, the old gorilla, died a couple years ago. The gorillas learn people. She used to see me and make motions for me to reach in my bag. I took toy cell phones, books, string, small stuffed toys, etc. She loved to look at kids picture books and would press her face close to see the pages and make motions to turn the page. I loved that gorilla. LOL.

One of my old grade school teachers is a docent there. She looks the same, I'm the one that looks old!LOL

I remember Malaika. She was amazing. I found some old pics of the two oldest kids when their daycare went to the zoo. They still had the petting zoo back then and the goats kept trying to chew on the toddlers! Great fun!

Yes TB, I have been thru it, went into a big depression, now theyre all back again but thankfully they come and go so its not so bad.

The laundry room is my pet peeve, they put stuff in and dont take it out. Then when I want to go do laundry I have to clear the counter, move baskets around and usually fold stuff just to do my own laundry.

Did a new years resolution that they will take the stuff to their personal spaces and that they each need to cook once a week since I am not the only adult anymore.

So far, I havent cooked yet this week. Hope this continues!

I'm just so tired of the messes. They all moved out with what they wanted at the time and left the rest. You know what moving messes look like. They say they'll come back and finish, but I'm STILL waiting. I decided last week, I'm done waiting. I'm going to start throwing out. I've asked and begged for help. I've even tried to hire a couple of teens I know. Nada. It's just me and I can't do all the lifting and hauling anymore. It's SO frustrating that my muscles have let me down. I've ALWAYS done heavy work, it's what I enjoy. But, I can't do it anymore. I couldn't move yesterday and I slept until 5:30. I dragged myself out of bed 'cause the kids came over and I wanted to see them before they went home today. I must have taken Em to see the kitties a million times! She LOVES them. I can't wait until I get my chicks. I'M getting them this spring, come hell or high water!

What I don't like about reader's is, if I buy a book, I can't give you the book permanently. I can only give it to you for a couple of weeks. They can delete books off the reader, if they want to, too. Besides, there's just something about the smell of a book and the comfort of reading old friends. Kind of like your favorite jeans or a pair of comfy shoes.

Yeah, it is. I've got to hang up the shirts soon, too. Gotta go check on my new orphan kitteh again. He's crying, poor little guy. One of the girls at hubs work gave him to me. She didn't have the patience for him, he likes to nibble. I named him Rocky, 'cause he likes to fight. He's just playful. I'll be putting him out with the rest of the kids in a few days, when it warms up a little.
