Thanks.

I think I could move out and have an entire kitchen full of stuff from this kitchen and still have extra to give away. Geez

I was very bad tonight, guys! I bought some more sheets for hard candy molds. Hello, my name is TB, and I collect kitchen stuff!

At least, they're not bulky!LOL

HAHA!
Yes, but it is for candy, right?
Weren't you the one who said that they were bringing the junk food on our girls weekend?

It's all good!

Hi! My name is Mama and I am a junk food junkie!

Oh good! I'm safe, then! I used to make that hard candy at Christmas, but I can't cut it anymore. That's why I've been buying the molds. I just haven't used them yet!LOL

Can you make peanut brittle in them?? I just love home made peanut brittle.

Did you ever check the dollar store for the silicone molds that are about one or two inches, I use them for soap sometimes and they just pop right out. I have hearts, stars, ginger bread man, flowers, christmas trees, snowflakes, and snowmen. They cost a buck a peice.

No, these are too small for peanut brittle. The candies are between cough drop size and starlight mint size. I'll have to look at the silicone molds. Never thought about making candy in them. I wonder if I could make floating candles with them? I sick of paying a ton for them, IF I can find them.

you can make everything in them, they are awesome! Even the ones that are not silicone but are a ice cube tray type of plastic can be used to make candles. When I make my lip balm recipe, I make a pot full and then pour them into ice cube trays, each tray makes 4 lip- balms, so I can make small batches for flavors, and only make a big mess once, the cubes melt in the micro in about 45 seconds.

When we were in Holland, they were really popular. I love them! I've got a bunch of dishes I bought there for floating candles. If you put something like 7-up in the dish, the bubbles sparkle too. A friend used to put sparkles in her water. You know, the stuff we put on tables. It floats for quite awhile and looks cool, but it's a pain to clean up the next day!

They are pretty, I agree. We sometimes put them in the pool when we have a party and I know nobody is going to jump or get thrown in. Now THAT would be a real mess!

Oh, they ARE pretty in a pool!

Sorry, didn't mean to ignore you. It's been pouring down rain tonight and the ceiling sprung a leak AGAIN. We can't find the spot outside. I had to get the bucket. I'm glad we haven't redone the ceiling yet.

I just checked the radar, it should be stopping soon. I'm surprised it's leaking. We thought we'd found it on the roof. The rain on Luis' thread is more by Austin and Houston. We were supposed to get snow, but it's not going to get cold enough now. I'd rather have snow!

Blaaaaa

I hate snow if its not gone the next day. My Dad lives in upstate NY and they had a big storm a few days after Christmas, got 16 inches. Then last week while cooking dinner the water went off, they thought they broke a pipe, but nothing, come to find out the town water supply broke, they couldnt find it and it took them 4 days to find the leak and another day to fix it. Almost the entire town was without water for 6 days!

They were melting snow to flush the toilets, clean cooking utensils and eating off paper plates. Can you imagine 6 days with no water up on a mountain in the freezing cold! No baths or showers either, and of course the local store ran out of water the first day. The next nearest town with a grocery store is 35 miles away.

Yes, but for once it was good to be able to scoop some up and use it to flush the toilet and heat it up for cleaning pots and pans.

Well today I had brunch with two of my good friends, and we celebrated my birthday, since one of them was unable to attend my party back in sept, then we got busy with our lives, and aside from NYEve, we have only talked by phone and not seen each other.

Well, she gave me a Nook for my birthday and I am so techy challenged I cant even get the damn thing registered. My niece is coming on Weds so I will just wait for her.

I got my wifi input but it wont connect!

Ok, I'll try one more time.

Hubs has had one for some time and I seem to remember that he had a little trouble getting started, too. He worked overnight, so he's still sleeping, but I'll ask him about it when he gets up.

What an excellent publish. After all that perform it excitement me you have the power to kind about it. LOL. Chow chow is SO excellent. Do you ever put it in vegetable soup? Best things you'll ever eat. First time I had it was with a buddy at Party cracker Gun barrel café. We'd gone driving and ceased in for a dish of broth. She desired me to try her chow-chow and I rejected. It seemed dreadful in the broth. But, to please her, I tried it. Oh man, what I'd been losing. LOL.

I am loving my Kindle. Been reading like crazy. It's really an addiction, especially now that I can check out library books on it. Free books, never out...not sure that is healthy for me. LOL
