I have a partial roll of weed fabric that was given to me that I thought I would use as shade fabric. I saw a show on PBS that demonstrated how it doesn't work as weed blocker. That stuff is a real fail! I'm just trying to decide how to put it up, which direction, temporary or permanent, that sort of thing. I've been reading a thread on pvc building things, so that got me thinking about it more.

You're so creative. Can't wait to see what you come up with. Wouldn't the weed block increase the heat though? I used it one year and it worked ok, but cleaning it up after harvest was something else. You have to tack it to the ground to keep the wind from blowing it and ripping out the plants, but it still gets loose in some places. Then, at the end of the season, pulling it out was enough to lengthen your arms. Made me feel like I had orangutan arms getting that stuff up and I still see bits of it here and there. It was great though for starting early seeds because it held the warmth in.
