I know what hot feels like, but I agree this is something different. I do know that we have a gaping hole in our magnetosphere and that probably has something to do with it, but I always wonder if the geo-engineering is somehow magnifying or somehow increasing the potency of the sun. I wish I could offer an answer, but I'm only speculating myself. The more I know the less I understand. |

I have a degree in astronautics from a military institution and have taken dedicated classes for Space Weather, mainly focusing on the effects of the sun on orbital objects, the ionosphere and for thermal dynamics for heat budgeting as well as power system management. I'm not sure if the sun is actually more intense or if it's just me. I do know that there have been many people on here reporting the same thing. It is a known fact that the sun's intensity increases during a solar maximum in the solar cycle (which we are now in). These cycles occur about every 12 years but I don't remember the sun feeling this intense last time. Maybe I just wasn't paying attention? It is possible to measure the energy of the solar flux as it arrives at Earth and measurements are taken. I would be interested to see if they are more than they have been in the past for previous solar maximums. Maybe we could try to find a website that records this information. It could be possible that the effect we are feeling is not related to solar maximum, but maybe some change in the sun that has not been seen or described before. Or maybe the atmosphere is changed. The intensity you feel is from incident photons from the sun...mass-less, non charged particles that would not be affected by any change in the Earth's magnetic field (before anyone goes there). You only hear about SpecOps when they go wrong. |
