"Whale 2 points starboard bow crossing to port" we see them crest (or whatever you call it) never see them jump and shit like on tv. Dolphins, thats another story, they sometimes travel in groups (100's of them) and they are flipping out jumping and following the ship. |

Anonymous Coward (OP) User ID: 560289 United States 08/28/2011 04:03 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Alright, how do I get hired? Quoting: Base_Disclosure Who do I talk to? Where do I go? What are the qualifications? What can I expect? I've heard about this kind of job before and I was always interested. well it's quite the process. first go to [link to www.uscg.mil] and apply for an MMC (basically a shipping license) you have to pass a drug test and a physical. I believe you have to take a BST (basic safety training) as well I'm sure the coast guard website will go into the requirements. It depends on how serious you are, you can bypass the bullshit (having to sail as an OS (ordinary seaman) and go to a school/academy and get your AB (able bodied) seaman ticket but it will cost you and it will take some time. though that is the route I would take if I was just starting out, cause if you dont you start at the bottom of the barrel and it take TIME to move up to AB from OS. Thats what I am, an AB. any other specific questions i will try to answer them |

It's amazing how many stars you can see while underway and not close to the city lights. as far as anything in the water I've seen phosphorescence which was crazy the first time I saw it, (green glowing shit in the water) [link to www.1911encyclopedia.org] |

Are you getting gay because there is nothing else to do abord? Quoting: Vierkantebroek hahaha, no that hasn't been my experience. being that we are an american flagged vessel and in port every couple days that is never really an issue. I've heard of the foreign flagged vessels being pretty gay, (granted they are on board for like 9 months at a time) oh my fiance bought me a fleshlight so that helps out! |

Anonymous Coward User ID: 1420755 United States 08/28/2011 04:15 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | About 5 minutes ago, I was sitting in my chair and I could feel a throbbing sensation in my pants. I decided to reach down and I found this crusty purplish red tentacle thing. I thought it may have been my micro penis finally coming of age, but I couldn't be sure I was a man, or if it was simply a dragon baby. I called up my uncle and he told me Dragon's haven't been around my area for a long time. I sighed and apologized for waking him up during his hugging time with his husband - I'm not sure what that is actually, but I heard some strange noises on the line. A bit later, I decided to get up and pace around in circles, contemplating on what that disgusting thing was in my pants staring up at me. I lit a cigarette and came on GLP to see if I should bring my tomatoes in - I was worried for their ultimate safety. After reading a motivational thread about Ron Paul; I opened my pants up again and saw one giant small circular eye looking straight up at me, with a blank stare. "I found you!" I exclaimed, ready to take a video for proof. It was emotionless and rigid. I asked it what it wanted from me and the abomination didn't have the decency to reply, or perhaps it didn't speak my language. I couldn't tell what I was dealing with. Terrestrial or extra terrestrial... I don't know, therefore Alien - I thought to myself. Since global warming has been such a problem, I came to the conclusion this entity was a threat to mankind and I didn't want any part of it, nor did my precious tomatoes. I tried choking it and pulling it off but it just shot a strange slimy goo in my face and retreated. Coward. I won the battle, but the war has only begun. Unfortunately, I must have cut myself when I was eating a tomato because there was tomato and blood juice all over my goo-stained face. I took off my grandmaster Mason ring, and washed my hands, signaling the shadow government to go ahead with plan B. Since I'm a total loser and my only friends are my tomatoes, I figured the only answer was to come on GLP and ask someone to help me with my alien problem. (It must be.) Just so happens, here's the perfect thread. Thanks - good luck with your reptile. Don't let him squirt on your face. It's smelly. |

I've said with this one dude who put out "restaurant quality meals DAILY" breakfast made to order. (they also usually do it up if you are on board for a holiday) I had lobster (flown in from maine) and steak one christmas |
