The Masons, Illuminati, Skull & Bones, the Knights Templar, and ther rest of the gangs are NOT secret societies....but rather, they are societies WITH secrets. If they were secret societies then you evidently never would have heard of them before.

This is definitely an accurate description, as not all members of these societies know all of their secrets. For example, the Masons have many members not the least aware of the sinister side of the organization.
