Nibiru is a pseudoscientific planetary object described by Zecharia Sitchin, a new age author making shit up based on his personal interpretations of ancient ancient texts. He has no evidence at all of such a thing, other than these interpretations of his. Therefore it's not scientific at all.

Secondly, a binary system involves two suns, not a sun and a mythical planet. You are thinking of "Nemesis", a speculated on dwarf star that might be part of our system. This one IS scientific, in that an actual astronomer made a theory to try to explain why Oort cloud objects seemed to get bumped in-ward in a kind of cycle. This specific theory has been disproven, but the idea of there being another dwarf star out there is still in the books as a possible theory.

People mistake these two quite often around here!

Nibiru/Planet X is a roaming planet of super-aliens, Nemesis is the dwarf star of the theoretical binary solar system.

If you read scifi, Larry Niven's ring world series has exactly this kind of roaming planets as the home-world of his specific super-aliens. I can't help but wonder if he wrote that before Zach came up with his stuff, or if it was the other way around heh
