he Psychologica1 Bulletin of 1991 reported that the left-handed populace died several years sooner, and none lived pass the age of 85—based on records of baseball players. Subsequent studies came to varying conclusions. A British study of cricket plays placed the difference at 2 years. The picture becomes more complex as the analysis become more specific. Read on.--jk

I'm a lefty and was going to stop when I read about the study being tied to baseball players, but then said, what the heck and continued reading.

I've always been a bit of a klutz, but mostly small injuries. I'be broken a few bones, but only small ones, and in my 40s.

Of course, we lefties have to be somewhat ambidextrous in order to survive in this world. Machines are made to be used by righties, so we use them backwards, or with our less mobile hand, so that puts us at risk.

I write lefty, and eat that way too. But I shoot a gun, and throw with my right hand.

Still alive at just about 65. So we'll see... if we even have time to see later.
