solar flares
Due to increase of cosmic gamma rays, Oort cloud region of space, comets and astroids. The Oort cloud is a hypothesized spherical cloud of comets which may lie roughly 50,000 AU, or nearly a light-year, from the Sun. [link to en.wikipedia.org]

Meteor showers increasing.
Solar system has entered into a new area of space closer to the Milky Way galaxy and Kuiper belt. [link to en.wikipedia.org]

The Solar activity of the sun has changed dramatically
Due to increase of cosmic gamma rays which will continue to increase to 2013.

Cosmic ray intensity has increased dramatically
Due to solar system nearing galactic core. The Galactic Center is the rotational center of the Milky Way galaxy. [link to en.wikipedia.org]

Disturbances in our solar system with storms on Jupter increasing
Due to solar system nearing galactic core affects all of the planets in this sun's solar system.

Well first off, the solar system is in the Milky Way Galaxy. The band of stars we see in the night sky and call the 'Milky Way' is the rest of the spiral arm we are on the edge of. The solar system is moving back into this arm and, yes will eventually move closer to the center of the galaxy. No one alive now or anytime in the near future needs to worry about nearing the center of the galaxy. Our sun may have reached the end of it's life cycle before we ever get close. That being said the solar system is being subjected to more radiation and magnetic influences as we rejoin our neighbors. I remember reading a theory about 10 years ago that attributed climate change to the core of the earth heating up due to increases of the magnetic field interactions in the new galactic neighborhood we are entering.
The Kuiper belt is in fact part of the solar system, and there are lot's of theories about how big it is and what is there, and while something may come from there towards us, we are not moving towards it. There was a theory that was popular once that hypothesized that there could be miniature black holes in the belt, even a distant dark dwarf partner for the sun.
I will dig through all my old floppies and see if I can track some of that old stuff down. If any is on the web I will try to post some links.
I certainly agree that the solar system does not exist in a vacuum, and I fully expect that we will see interactions with the rest of the arm as we move back in, but we won't see much direct interaction with the center for a VERY long time.
Polar shifts are of course nothing new and there is some evidence that they have shifted quickly in the past. I quite enjoyed some of Velikovsky's theories. Worth a read and a closer look as Pensee Magazine once said.

Something is happening and we are not being given much information or even accurate information. Quite a bit is out there though, and some of the stuff from even 30 years back can shed more light than what we are being fed. Since as a group we seem to be looking though, we should try to get it right.
