Ask for the Holy Spirit to guide you and reveal God's Truth.

The days that I don't do this, I feel mal-nourished in my soul.
The day went by fruitless, with deeds done in my carnal self--having less meaning.

To walk with God, we must learn to talk with God.

Every believer is called to prayer. It is a gift that Jesus has given us.

Ephesians 6:18--And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests. With this in mind, be alert and always keep on praying for all the saints.

God is waiting for you to rise up and pray.

He is longing for you to break through your flesh and the resistance over your prayer life.

God loves to hear His people pray. He always answers the call of the righteous.

James 5:16--Therefore, confess your sins to one another and pray for one another, that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous person has great power as it is working.

Hebrews 4:14-16--Since then we have a great high priest who has passed through the heavens, Jesus, the Son of God, let us hold fast our confession.

For we do not have a high priest who is unable to sympathize with our weaknesses, but one who in every respect has been tempted as we are, yet without sin.

Let us then with confidence draw near to the throne of grace, that we may receive mercy and find grace to help in time of need.

Through our trials, tribulations and tests, come our testimonies.

They tell the truth about us, oftentimes, painful truth.
I'm thinking of my time growing up--my relationship with my mother.

It is kind of sad that I don't have any happy memories of her.

The two outstanding thoughts are how she always said she hated me, and she would kill me if I didn't do what she told me to do.

Also, how I would try my hardest to do what she asked in order to receive favor from her, to feel loved and appreciated.

Now I realize, too, as I reflect, that I was this way throughout most of my life--I felt I had to perform a pleasing task in order to receive favor from someone, in order to feel appreciated and loved--to feel important.

Thank God!! He continues to show me that I don't have to perform a pleasing task or try to earn His love!!

His love is unconditional!!

There have been 100,000 reasons and more that I am undeserving of His love, but He loves me anyway!!

I continue to learn obedience out of this love He has for me for I do it out of a growing love I have for Him.

Thank You, my Heavenly Father, thank You for revealing Your Son to me, thank You for forgiving me of my sins.

Thank You for the gift of the Holy Spirit.

I know God is there and he does listen and answer prayers. Not always in the way we expect or want. We should want nothing. In my life he has sometimes answered my prayers in a way to teach me a lesson and other times has shown me miracles. Keep Faith and keep believing. Look for the small answers.

For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the cosmic powers over this present darkness, against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly places.

Lots of sacrifice going on towards the end of the month.

Lots of evil activity in "high places".

Pray for protection and covering over yourself.

There are many prayers going up in the name of other "gods" and it stirs up evil activity.

Animal sacrifice this weekend--Eid-al-Adha--the Feast of Sacrifice.

And then on October 31st--All hallow's Eve--it is known to have more animal and human sacrifice.

Pray.

Every time we pray, if we do so correctly, God’s mighty power is released and made available to bring victory and breakthrough into even seemingly impossible situations. We do not need to overcome God’s reluctance when we pray. That is not the problem.

When we pray, we are breaking through resistance from the powers of darkness and taking hold of God’s willingness to do His plan in the earth. That prayer causes His power to be released on our behalf.

Prayer is the breath of God in your life that keeps your fellowship and walk with Him fresh and alive. It also keeps you free and strong against the plans and strategies of the enemy. You may not know it, but there is a desire and an ability in your recreated spirit to pray.

Your spirit is hungry for prayer. Your flesh may be weak and untrained in spiritual things, and even bound up, but your spirit is hungry to pray. It’s hungry to know God and to talk and fellowship with Him. It’s hungry to see the devil defeated!

Who is sitting on the throne today?

Be strong IN THE LORD, not in yourself.

The spiritual battle can only be fought with God's armor, for if it isn't, you will feel defeated.

We have an enemy that seeks to destroy us and nothing you can do physically can destroy him.

He "goes about as a roaring lion", searching for food, sneaking up on his prey and he hides so well in the grass as he waits to take the final leap that the unsuspecting prey doesn't recognize the danger, until it is too late.

Our enemy is like a thief and John 10:10 says, "The thief, comes not, but for to steal, kill, and destroy,"

He will steal your zeal for our Lord, your joy, your peace of mind by replacing it with the temporal pleasures and solutions that come from this world.

He will kill through sickness, suicide, violence and whatever means he can.

He is out to destroy the Christian witness, morality, families, churches and anything that proclaims that Jesus, our Savior, God's plan for redemption, is the only Way back to our Creator.

What I'm sure he loves the most, is to destroy the personal relationship a true believer has with Jesus Christ--and if you don't have one he will try his hardest to keep you from developing one.

It is evident that he is doing his job well.

Every way our enemy tries to reach us is through "the lust of the eyes, the lust of the flesh, and the pride of life".

Think about that.

God says, 'My people are destroyed, for a lack of knowledge.'

KNOW the wiles of the devil.

He can only get to you if you have your guard down--if you take your armor off.

"For the weapons of our warfare are not of the flesh but have divine power to destroy strongholds."
2 Corinthians 10:4

Heavenly Father,
one thing I ask today, that I am used for Your Glory.

Lord Jesus,

Thank You, thank you for Your Life that You give to those who choose to believe in You.

Thank You for choosing the Father's will over Your own--I can't do it but I know by trusting in You, that You will provide me with Your strength and a way to escape from my sinful flesh and it's desires.

I can't imagine living this life without You in it, where would I be?
