prediction of 2012

i believe that 2011 november 9 will be the end times.. the end times is near. and the day 2012 will be the new day of new life. im sure mayan found some kind of true believer of future and predicted this. comet elenin will destroy the earth and 2012 12-21 will be new life to be reborn. scary if the comet hit us on 11-9.. why cant the government join forces and laser beam this comet down??
