I started monitoring this thread and esmc/ign in September. Up until very recently ign and emsc were updating often (within 20-30 minutes). Now it can be several hours before data appears.

When you only have a short window of time to get your family to safety this huge time lapse is starting to get quite worrying...

Two suns in the panoramic cam this morning...I know, it's only light reflecting. Interesting nonetheless.

The other cam is so bright it's hard to see the water. Not sure what is happening there

It's interesting to me how the jacuzzis are so incredibly brilliant. They're beautiful blue and white colored...where does this coloration come from? Is it the gas? Is it bubbles that make the sea itself thinned out and therefore the blue of the ocean water becomes more translucent?

Any ideas as to why this happens? I'm thinking it's white bubbles inside of blue water that makes the dark blue lighten up to light blue.

To say that nothing has happened yet would be incorrect. An incredible amount of natural processes have occurred. We as humans like to see immediate and in our face events...we're not real good at understanding that we exist in established time...set on a watch and a calendar. Nothing else in nature is so. It often gives us a false sense of expected expediency.

El Hierro's reduction in seismic activity could result from the slight increases on the other islands beginning 06:00 to 08:00:

of course, and while i appreciate all this, nothing MAJOR has happened yet, and aside from the venting and the quakes (which a few people have said would 'any day now' go 4 or 5 mag), been saying this on and off for weeks

essentially, im just saying that this phase of venting seems to be quite an extended one :)

Ahhh...yup, you're right about that. I think what this has become in some ways, is a learning moment. Finding out how much connection there is between La Palma and Hierro for Canary Island followers is quite astounding. Watching it all happen at this pace allows for a lot of info to come out that might not ordinarily have been available in a more intense sequence of events. I for one am learning a lot and am in awe of how this all occurs. I would like to see more camera footage and more submersible photos and videos of the actual eruption processes...but...guess we'll have to wait and just review them when they become available.

Interesting how the sun causes these light reflections to occur. The sun is actually in the opposite direction of this camera and the moon is currently over the west coast of the U.S. What would the light be refracting off of? Anyway...just kind of weird.

What can the concentration do? Make people sick? Cause any long term injuries or illnesses? Can it be fatal? Maybe cause for more evacuations?

Very, very true ! Let's put our heads together and find the best solution. This will only add to our sleepless nights. We must come up with an answer quickly. There seems be be a lot of very intelligent people on this thread. (We need at least 5 hrs. head start, not good at all.((central Florida)) Looking to move hopefully very soon. The underwater eruption at La Restinga that was thought to potentially form a new island must have collapsed. Otherwise, at the 7m a day growth rate, coming towards the sea surface, should've breached the water a couple weeks ago. The only idea these scientists can come up with is that apparently the new island that was forming has collapsed during the ongoing eruption.
