ok seriously...let's say this happens, ka-boom the cliffs hit the ocean...how fast will the news cut with a breaking story that a mega tsunami is on the way? Will it be instant? Because with twitter, etc, wouldn't the news of it happening be posted before any news agency picked it up? And what would the broadcast even be like? I am trying to picture the media end of this scenario playing out "live"....

Canary Island cliff ready to fall, just a bit of more gravity pull or earth tremors, that's when it will top over. With over 500 feet of Atlantic Ocean Water making a head rush towards Long Island/NY metro area...

Oh yes!, my Fed friends, (aka "The Man', aka "People behind the curtain"), that's OK this is a new Version on Holocaust 2, I haven't decided how it will be run.

1) Biological Weapon release, killing massive amounts of people.

2) Riots/Looting and Bridges, Tunnels, Boat Traffic gets stopped, withing the Long Island/NY metro area, closed, isolated, quarantined.

3) Canary Island Cliff fall, with over 500 feet of Atlantic Ocean over Long Island/NY metro area.

And thus a new bunch of 17 Million (mostly jewish people), will be sacrificed for the "Greater Cause"

"As before as again" (but much much larger)(and the same amount of Capo jewish people, who this time work for the U.S. Government, not the Nazi Party.)

"Computer modelling indicates that the resulting initial wave may attain a local amplitude (height) in excess of 600 metres (1,969 ft) and an initial peak to peak height that approximates to 2 kilometres (1 mi), and travel at about 1,000 kilometres per hour (621 mph) (approximately the speed of a jet aircraft), inundating the African coast in about 1 hour, the southern coast of England in about 3.5 hours, and the eastern seaboard of North America in about 6 hours, by which time the initial wave would have subsided into a succession of smaller ones each about 30 metres (98 ft) to 60 metres (197 ft) high. These may surge to several hundred metres in height and be several kilometres apart but retaining their original speed."

There's cliff everywhere on that island. The island is quite tall ~ over 7000 feet. Here's a good example/picture showing some of the cliffs there!

Well...that's a damn good question. Consider this...if a quake hits and there is NOBODY on the island to report it, then all you have is some machines telling you something when to rockin'. the first tsunami would hit the neighboring islands which are just a mere 50-60 miles away. At that time the true size and destructive ability of the tsunami would be known. Since there would be nobody left on the island, it's reasonable to assume that whatever notification they COULD HAVE given, will be delayed. By the time a serious warning hit the East Coast of the U.S., I'd say we'd have about 5 hours to evacuate. In other words, NOBODY would escape this tsunami if it's as big as the scientists predict it could be. In one scale I saw it would reach as far as the 2nd state inland. Tennessee, Ohio, Kentucky, Alabama...

I know all you guys hate our government, but don't you think just maybe they would have their eye on this? The thought that a break would not be noticed is somewhat laughable.

But yeah... warning would probably come too late... seeing as it would take a day or so just to get Americans to believe there's a problem.

Maybe those on the east coast should consider themselves warned now.

Here's some more...

"Geological evidence suggests that during a future
eruption, Cumbre Vieja Volcano on the Island of La Palma
may experience a catastrophic failure of its west flank, dropping
150 to 500 km3 of rock into the sea. Using a geologically
reasonable estimate of landslide motion, we model tsunami
waves produced by such a collapse. Waves generated by the
run-out of a 500 km3 (150 km3) slide block at 100 m/s could
transit the entire Atlantic Basin and arrive on the coasts of the
Americas with 10-25 m (3-8 m) height."
