So if something happens it not only would affect East USA Coast but also Portugal, Spain and some North African Countries, am I right?  If so, do you think it is possible to predict when it will happen? Just very curious since I live In Portugal by the coast being the beach about 5 meters above sea level and the city 16m.   The local effects to Europe and Africa would be much worse than the US. Exact prediction is very difficult, but the likelihood of an event increases based on observed geologic changes supporting collapse, increasing or persistent quakes, or recent eruption. Thanks. Its very late here and I'm trying to find more information about it and the lasts quakes I just can't sleep. I hope tomorrow I can talk with my family and that they don't call me crazy since we don't know nothing about what is happening.  God bless internet. Just be prepared that's all. let your family know that you just want to be ready in the same way you would have a plan for a fire. This is just something we don't plan for. However, we need to. I know and thank you for your words it sure helps a lot. the main reason why I want to explain this to them is because during college time I live in a sea level way higher but I wanna be sure that by the time I'm there (which will be in about month) and if nothing has happened yet that they are somewhat prepared or at least conscious
