No it's true, I've seen multiple sources...either Elenin is passing too close to the sun, or has passed the sun too many times. Either way, this may very well be its last pass by its orbital body. So much for cometdoom.

I'm just looking at the info we got so far from all sources. Look at the pictures and the video of his interaction with the sun.

Leonid Elenin: I hope too, perhaps CME blow off large portion of volatile material, but more real variant what comet start to disintegrate. I will post my opinion about this question soon.

Is it true that the cme took with it any form of a tail that existed on c/2010 x1..and would it had had any affect on its current trajectory.. and also.. would the comet pose any threat to earth if it began to break up on perihilion?.. i have read that other linear comets have been recorded doing so in the past. thankyou in advance

So now we have to wait to see what will be the changes in Elenin after this interaction with the sun.

Maybe there is still any chance that the comet Elenin after the disintegration process continue to "cause" earthquakes when aligns with earth and sun?
