That video is so biased. It makes the "before" scenes look so much more pleasant than the "after" scenes. But of course the "before" scenes would be better. They are now in the middle of a horrific revolutionary war. The fact that this war is dreadful doesn't prove anything at all about what a great leader Gaddafi was. All it proves is that war, even war against a dreadful tyranny, is horrible.

It is one of the best stations on the air for international news. I used to watch CNN but found them a bit too one-sided so I switched to the BBC which gives a greater variety of viewpoints. They also have a wider range of stories. CNN tends to pick just one news story and stay with it for hours; gets awfully boring after awhile. You can only take so much Libya or Iraq or Hurricane Irene or Japanese tsunami or blah blah blah before you want to hear about something else.

CBC is good, too, if you want more Canadian emphasis. Our Prime Minister Harper is attending the conference on the future of Libya. I hope he makes some good contributions.

So I go on google earth to try to confirm these videos. Look at Tripoli square but it seems the usefully sited photos have been replaced with pictures of rural France.
