We still have a working one, a red one. Although we don't use it as the regular phone now and haven't for a while, it does come in handy sometimes. We just used it during Irene when the power went out and it showed that although the power was out, the phone lines were actually still working. Unlike the vast majority of phones now, all you have to do is plug in the phone line cord to it and nothing more, so it doesn't need a power cord from an outlet.
