The attorney for a family suing Chicago Public Schools over the alleged handcuffing of a first-grader in 2010 said Tuesday the boy was among several 6- and 7-year-olds who were detained and handcuffed for hours for talking in class.

In an email to the Tribune, attorney Michael Carin said school officials at Carver Primary School on the city’s far South Side authorized the on-campus security guard in March 2010 to discipline some first-graders who were being disruptive.

it's easy to say do something. it's real hard to do that from prison. you have to have a real uprising and there are so many people asleep here in america.

It only took one time for my wife and I to learn. Some stupid ass that was supposed to be a teacher tried to pull my son by his arm to go "screen" him. He planted his feet and made clear he was not going with the flippy lady that he did not know. So she kept trying to pull and pull and pull him. When she got the hint he wasn't gonna go, instead of saying "okay buddy, I'm going to let go slowly, so stop pulling back" the bitch just let our kid fly backwards, and crack his head on the hard tile floor. He came home with a lump on his head that looked like it was straight out of a Tom & Jerry cartoon. I got home from work that day, to a wife crying, and a son with a huge lump on his head, totally distraught at what just happened to him. Right then and there, the decision was made.

That fucking "security guard" needs his ass whipped, prosecuted, and beaten down in a fucking cell. Pick on little kids? Meet "Bubba" who has been state raised since he was 16, and has some pent-up sexual frustration and anger issues to get off his chest.

i feel for your family and your son. that was totally and completely out of line on the schools part. you have every right to be outraged.

two of my grans are being homeschooled now. my daughter put my grandson in pre-k and she didn't like the feel or the setup of the class. so she's homeschooling now. my other daughter has never had her son in school. he's always been homeschooled. they interact with other children on a regular basis so they are not sheltered from life.

the fact that just anyone can abuse your child in the course of a school day is fucked up. it is not possible to know each and every person your child will come into contact with.
