According to the results, buildings at 129 schools -- 84 elementary and 45 junior high schools -- were unusable when the first school term began in early April. As of Sept. 11, six months after the March 11 Great East Japan Earthquake, the facilities of 128 of the schools will still likely be unusable while classes can be held at the other -- a junior high school. Regarding the prospects for reconstruction, there are clear prospects that 68 schools -- 45 elementary and 23 junior high schools -- can be rebuilt in the near future. They include schools that plan to build pre-fabricated temporary buildings. |

Japan was lost on march 11 and that's the bottom line . The radiation will keep speeding for 27000 years so deal with it monkeys |

the main reason for this is probably demographics. japanese people (like the europeans) are not having children and their young population is dwindling while their old population is skyrocketing with the extended life expectancy. why rebuild a bunch of schools when you have far fewer school aged kids |
