EARTHQUAKE here in southern CA just now !

Have you guys seen any lenticular clouds lately in your area? Or any indicators of more quakes yet to come?

Funny, that. I've been shifting gears and plans in such a way that it gets my wife out of harms way (at least as far as work goes) and gets me to the production level of the food/grocery industry. More specifically, working for a very good man/family actually growing and harvesting food, instead of putting food on store shelves. Lets face it, if we get a true SHTF event, it won't take long for stores to start running out of shit, especially if the means of getting items into the stores is compromised. Furthermore, inflation is quite a formidable opponent. Meat prices have been jumping, and I know it to be a fact that the worst is yet to come. Shrink (loss of product due to theft or throwing items away) will become an increasing challenge. Throw in people's desperation....and you have the potential for all kinds of trouble in grocery stores.

Farmers will be important. This particular fellow sells directly to regular folks as well. He is not a dude with a big ego. Just a fellow that wants to be able to take care of his own, take care of the people that work for him, and provide for folks at far less than grocery store prices, thats for damn sure.

just wishing I lived out in the country off the grid ... who knows what will happen though time will tell it always has a way of doing so !

Hi AG! May I interrupt you long enough to ask just WHERE is Santa Clarita? I grew up in Sacramento during the 50's and 60's, but it seems like a lot of new towns have been created since I left Calif in the 70's. For instance, "Rancho Cordova" used to be a HOUSING DEVELOPMENT outside of Sacto heading toward Folsom. It wasn't far from "KROY Way" which was so named because the radio towers were there from station KROY, the local rock-n-roll station. Great spot for "after-dark parking". Now I gather that Rancho Cordova has become a town in its' own right. In SoCal, I lived in El Monte, Baldwin Park, and Covina. Thanks!!

I tried to leave Cali so many times, always got thrown back, so I gave up. I'm 7 miles inland in northern San Diego. We'll be taking the big swim sooner than later, eh?

we used to be just newhall Valencia and canyon country but they merged us into the city of Santa clarita in the 80s .

We just had our kids at the beach in Ventura yesterday. The waves were pretty wild for a while. Tons of surfers out. Kinda glad we went yesterday and not today!

want to be far away from the ocean though when TSHTF that's for sure . have to enjoy it while we can !
