Are you SAVED yet???? UPDATE December 3rd, 2011

Well, it could be you understand my pain, or I'm headed toward hell. To be honest with you, I honestly believe God doesn't care enough about me to help me out of this spiritual funk I'm in.

I've prayed til I can't pray anymore...it's like I'm talking to a wall, while waiting for the wall to speak back to me! I'm serious.

I don't know what the problem is, but I'm scared...really scared.

You're right on track about me in the sense that at one time I thought I was saved. I'm going through a really tough time right now and it is during this time that I've realized that I thought I was saved...when I wasn't...and most likely am not now.

Well said! Is it any wonder why there are over 38,000 Chrisian denominations and each denomination think they are the right one? I'm telling you up straight the platitudes of most if not all Christians is enough to make one vomit.

Is John Calvin, who I think is a whackjob mentioned in the Bible? Of course not!

Is Jacobus Arminius mentioned in the Bible? Of course not!

Is Martin Luther mentioned in the Bible? Of course not!

I can go on and on but I believe you are getting the picture.

Why then do so many Christian denominations follow after these creeps?

I'm so conflicted that I don't read the Bible as often as I used to as it offers me no solace, no wisdom...and no piece of mind. It sems as though the harder I try to read the Bible or draw close to God...something bad happens. I'm almost afraid to pick up the Bible anymore.

Make no mistake about it, I do have sin in my life and I do my absolute best to live a sinless life to the best of my ability.

I've always believed that it is the Holy Spirits job to supernaturally change us, regenerate us and grant us the gift of repentance and a genuine saving faith so we can become new creatures in Christ.

I'm missing something, and as I mentioned to Phydeau, if I don't receive an epiphany or a spark...I'm destined for hell.

Only God knows what I need to break out of this rut. I've been patiently waiting on God to do something for me for a long time...so far nothing. I'm seriously beginning to think that I should just give up and let the chips fall as they may.

Well if the fruits of religion, in particular here Christianity and the Bible, are division, confusion, and judgment on others to name a few things, how can that fruit be anything but rotten?

The rotten fruit you are talking about are people who either think they are Christians and aren't, or people who fake it for show.

There is so much goodness that comes from a true Christian. I have met some people that make the world a better place just by walking in the room. They do millions of tiny little things that get no recognition. They do it out of love. You will never hear of these things reported on the news. True people of God do not produce rotten fruit.

My dearly beloved daughter tell My precious children that they must not be fearful of The Warning. Many will feel frightened and this is understandable. But they must listen carefully to Me. I will come to each of you. You will see Me and feel Me in your heart and soul. My presence will flood your souls with the purest of love and compassion so you should be joyful. At last you will see Me and your soul will be enveloped with love and excitement.

For sinners and unbelievers most of them will simply be relieved that I exist. For their witness of My Holy Presence will be the blood that is needed to flood their souls with the nourishment missing for so long. Many will suffer the torment, as I endure, when they see their sins unroll before them. Heartbroken when they see how they have offended Me they will beg Me to forgive them.

Children over the age of reason will also see how they, too, offend me through sin. In many instances those children who deny My existence, although they are aware of the truth, will run to Me. They will ask Me to embrace them and will not want Me to let them go.

Even the most hardened sinners will fail not to be affected by this supernatural event. Children you must ignore rumour. Ignore stories which are sensational. There is nothing to fear. The Warning must be awaited with pure joy in your hearts.

I await the time with so much love in My heart when I will pour out My Divine Mercy over each of you everywhere throughout the world. This is the moment when, afterwards, you will realise how fortunate you, of this generation, are. How can you not recognise the mercy that will be shown to mankind? In the past so many souls died in grievous sin. Now, all sinners will finally understand the truth at last.

It is not easy for My children to acknowledge the existence of Me or My Eternal Father. Without proof of a material kind many do not want to get to know Me. Many have no interest or belief in the divine realm. This event will open their eyes to the simple fact that life does not end on earth. It continues for eternity. That is the reason why they must prepare their souls.

The warning will show them what they must do to rectify this. Remember children I am your saviour. I love you all in a way that is beyond your comprehension. Await My arrival with love and calmness. Fear not the dramatic spectacle in the sky and the colour of the rays which will be spread everywhere to herald My arrival. This will prepare you for the moment.

Please pray that all mankind will feel joy in their hearts for this event will mean salvation for mankind on a magnitude that will save so many souls and enable them to enter the new paradise on earth.

This is another example of what I was talking about, telling us to put our faith in something happening, instead of actually making it happen ourselves. We don't need to wait on God to work, we can work within on ourselves to change things, and God will work with us then.

An appropriate division of labor is wise, always being careful to avoid the overestimation of our own abilities. :)

The problem with religion though is it UNDERMINES them.

That has not been the case in my experience. Maybe I don't get out much.

I think it was Joko Beck (Zen Buddhist) who said (approximately), "Religion is a form. As a form we need to learn to use it wisely."

Interesting quote, I can agree with it to a point. I think the big issue in religion though is it tends to place God into a box. Ie: "God's truth is only here, there are no other paths" type thing. It limits the unlimited.

What is your experience incidentally on this out of curiosity?

I'll try to find the actual quote for you. It's from her book "Everyday Zen."

Yes, there are many paths. Most of those are dead ends. I am not fearful of people following other paths. Nor do I really seek to teach others or gather a following to convince them to follow the path I'm on. Mostly I just follow my path with all my heart, soul, mind, and strength. Others find that attractive and ask me about it, and we begin a conversation.

As far as Christianity goes, I differentiate between "church as institution" and "church as the body of Christ." An interesting book on that is "So You Don't Want to Go to Church Any More," by Wayne Jacobsen. Religious fiction but definitely points out a lot of deficiencies in the former and how people can get the two mixed up. You can read it online (don't even have to buy it.)

I discovered my personal "life mission" if you can call it that about 15 years ago: "Opening hearts to Jesus Christ and one another," not that it's I who actually does the opening up.

As for some of those other paths: I've studied Buddhism and Judaism extensively. I'm also a practicioner of hatha yoga (BKS Iyengar school).

Where I find that Christianity is superior to the others has to do with love. All the others talk about love and how we should love others (and ourselves)... give us ways to practice doingt that. But only Christianity loves me back.

Have you ever heard of the phrase God helps those who help themselves? If you're not doing anything to further your life and instead just sitting there waiting for a miracle, you'll never get where you want to be. God can't do something if you aren't working with Him. You have to put the effort in to make something happen before you can see any results. Make sense?

1 Cor. 3:15 - if works are unnecessary for salvation as many Protestants believe, then why is a man saved (not just rewarded) through fire by a judgment of his works?

Matt. 7:1-3 - we are not judged just by faith, but actually how we judge others, and we get what we have given. Hence, we are judged according to how we responded to God's grace during our lives.

Matt. 10:22, 24:13; Mark 13:13 - Jesus taught that we must endure to the very end to be saved. If this is true, then how can Protestants believe in the erroneous teaching of "Once saved, always saved?" If salvation occurred at a specific point in time when we accepted Jesus as personal Lord and Savior, there would be no need to endure to the end. We would already be saved.

Matt. 16:27 – Jesus says He will repay every man for what he has done (works).

Matt. 25:31-46 - Jesus' teaching on the separation of the sheep from the goats is based on the works that were done during their lives, not just on their acceptance of Christ as Savior. In fact, this teaching even demonstrates that those who are ultimately saved do not necessarily have to know Christ. Also, we don’t accept Christ; He accepts us. God first makes the decision to accept us before we could ever accept Him.

Matt. 25:40,45 - Jesus says "Whatever you did to the least of my brothers, you did it to Me." We are judged and our eternal destiny is determined in accordance with our works.

Mark 10:21 - Jesus says sell what you have and give to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven. This means that our salvation depends upon our works.

Luke 12:43-48 - these verses teach us that we must act according to the Lord's will. We are judged based upon what we know and then do, not just upon what we know.

Luke 14:14 – Jesus says we are repaid for the works we have done at the resurrection of the just. Our works lead to salvation.

Luke 23:41 - some Protestants argue that Jesus gave salvation to the good thief even though the thief did not do any good works. However, the good thief did in fact do a good work, which was rebuking the bad thief when he and others were reviling Jesus. This was a "work" which justified the good thief before Jesus and gained His favor.


Rom. 2:6-10, 13 - God will judge every man according to his works. Our salvation depends on how we cooperate with God's grace.

2 Cor. 5:10 - at the judgment Seat of Christ, we are judged according to what we have done in the body, not how much faith we had.

2 Cor. 9:6 – Paul says that he who sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and he who sows bountifully will also reap bountifully, in connection with God’s judgment.

2 Tim. 4:14 – Alexander the coppersmith did Paul great harm, and Paul says the Lord will requite him for his deeds.

Heb. 6:10 - God is not so unjust as to overlook your work and the love which you showed for His sake. God rewards our works on earth and in heaven.

Heb. 12:14 – without holiness, no one will see the Lord. Holiness requires works of self-denial and charity, and does not come about simply by a profession of faith.
