United States 09/02/2011 08:08 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Tsunami warning for Alaska's Aleutians after 7.1 quake ANCHORAGE, Alaska (AP) — A tsunami warning is in effect for parts of the Aleutian Islands of Alaska after a 7.1-magnitude earthquake was recorded in the Pacific Ocean. The USGS says the earthquake struck in the ocean at about 6:55 a.m. EDT, and there are no initial reports of injuries or damage. The tsunami warning is in effect for coastal areas of Alaska from Unimak Pass to Amchitka Pass.
