It makes me sick to see them walking around town with these monster Poodles and thinking they are tough. Yesterday a yound child of 6 was innocently playing outside when one of these dogs killed her. I hear about this all the time. When are these Poodles going to ever be illegal? Maybe they should be treated as it would be for owning a weapon. Something needs to be done! Quoting: Jtreal3 So you must be The gang banger who owns a pit. I think pits should be illegal too. Whats the point of those dogs, they aren't family dogs. |

Only problem with your little make-believe scenario is that I could do a simple Google search and find no fewer than a dozen incidents involving Pit Bulls during a 30 DAY PERIOD in which people were bitten, maimed, killed, or otherwise injured in some way by these dogs. You could take one as a puppy and have it raised by a little old lady, and it may attack without warning or provocation. It has happened EXACTLY that way. That dog wasn't raised by gang bangers. These dogs are mentally unstable, and will always have a vicious, violent streak. |

Oh please, Pit Bulls are the original nanny dog but have been acquired by the criminal minority element who have taken these dogs and bred and raised them to be killing machines. Pit Bulls outrank a poodle on any given day. Those useless and worthless ankle biters are among the most aggressive and testy little bastards and they're better off dead. What's the point of a useless poodle they aren't family dogs but fashion/purse accessories. The only useful poodle is a dead one. |

I breed a rare dog, all of my puppies are sold to be spayed or neutered by 9 months and the new owners must update me every month as to temperament and health for their first 15 months. A dog born with a bad temperament will pass down bad temperaments. I have never had temperament issues in my puppies but if I had the bitch and sire would be altered and removed from breeding. Pit bulls were bred to be killers. A good killer will throw good killers. Sad, pit bulls are beautiful animals. If you ever get the chance to meet one from a breeder breeding for temperament you could see what beautiful animals they are. "Walking around with poodles thinking they are tough" made me laugh. Never viewed a poodle as tough. I always thought they were a bit ugly and not very intelligent. |

Personally, I would never purchase a dog of any type from you, as egotistical controlling tyrants such as yourself tend to torque my jaws and impede my rights as an owner unless of course you give your dogs away. My last purchase of a dog from a breeder was an Anatolian Shepherd he has been neutered as all my animals are since I do not show them nor do I breed them and my guess is that yours are not show quality so why all the demands. The breeder make no such demands upon me however I do update her every six months on my own and I do understand these updates help her, however if demanded I would have walked way. Far more rests upon the new owner than simply breeding and breeds such as mine need to have the correct owner for a well socialized dog and good canine citizen and not some overly controlling meddling breeder. |

Anonymous Coward User ID: 69057719 Canada 04/01/2016 11:56 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Any and all dogs can be a hazard to all forms of life. My advice would be is to buy your pup from a home raised litter that both parents are on site to be interacted with. If their disposition is sound then you can rest assured your pup will be just fine. Never hit your dog with an instrument or your hand. Socialize, socialize, socialize!! This is the best insurance you can provide the World at large. A Martingale collar is the best training collar you can buy. Not a pinch collar. Love, a dog bowl kept full at all times, toys of all sorts and lots of them is all you will need along with a firm voice for commands and training. If your dog displays aggression of any type at an early age and cannot be corrected quickly then do the right thing if you have kids or are in the public domain. The right thing is?? Give it to someone in the country that will take care of it or put it down if the risk is high to have an offender. There ar lots of good dogs that need homes so why keep a liability or a dog. That will hurt a child??? |
