This is less to do with the actual moons appearance and more to do with the position of the moon and sun. At first last night, the moon appeared to have a sliver lit up by the sun. An hour or so later, the moon had more of it's surface lit by the sun. The sliver was now about 1/4 lit up by the sun, meaning something ( the earth, or moon) had moved so that the moon was more exposed to the sun. I have never noticed it before, maybe it is normal? Just seemed a little odd, and noteworthy. Have a great day! |
