I noticed this on the 4th of July.

WOW I can't believe it!My husband was home and outside relaxing and noticing how full the moon was tonight. I came home and joined him on the front porch relaxing (we are both star gazers). I looked at the moon then went inside and came back out and he stated "look at the moon it just dropped below the tree lines!" When we were both out there it was completely visible. He stated "that is the quickest I have ever seen the moon disappear" I looked at the moon and it was in the middle of a tree and I could see it's light through the whole of the branches. As we continued to watch and look at the moon it continued to rise. Now the moon is way above the tree line and it is just so wierd what is going on? How can this happen? What does this mean? Since when does the moon go down and now up? I looked on line to see if anyone knew what is going on with the moon and I found this blog.

Hi, this was a thread from last year and I responded to it too. Interesting that this is still going on. Most people are saying that it is the compromise of the magnetosphere, it apparently has a hole and the solar wind can now breach our protection. I use to live in Huger, SC by the way and now I'm in the North. I have noticed that the moon has still been odd on a regular basis and too many orange moons as well.

two weeks ago i was sitting on my gfs back porch and saw the exact same thing. Theres a big noise wall behind her house because of the 417 expressway and i saw the moon hauling ass she thought i was crazy so i decided to stand in the exact same spot for like five minutes and within like five minutes the moon was gone bhind the noise wall. i mean it was truly moving fast you could actually see it moving it was fucking insane idk maby it doesnt mean shit. Our minds are hard wired to attempt to make connections about shit that is just random and chaotic anyway. so who knows??? definately not me and she wouldnt even pay attention to it she thinks im crazy anyway. fuck it hope we prosper

Wrong. The Moon goes from its furthest North to its furthest South EVERY MONTH. Always has. Only certain phases are higher in the Summer or the Winter.

The Moon's orbit is not a normal orbit most are used too.

The Lunar orbit is an ellipse and that changes the orbit speed pending orbit location.

The actual speed in crease/decrease is roughly 6%. But in combination with Earths rotation it APPPEARS to move 12% faster at it's fastest point. It will appear 12% slower at the slowest point.

A spread of 24% is a large difference.

So some nights the Moon will appear to creep along while other nights it can race across the sky.

You Americans are fucking crazy!! Read up on the moon. Wiki or something. The moon orbits earth in an irregular orbit, like the earth does the sun. Sometimes it's closer sometimes it's further. About 20,000 miles difference. The moon always looks much bigger just before it sets and appears to speed up, as does the sun durin a sunset. Just read up. I can't believe some of the stuff you guys posted.
