**See Prize Description for details.

NO PURCHASE OR OBLIGATION NECESSARY TO ENTER OR WIN.

1. Sweepstakes Period: The Sweepstakes begins on September 4, 2011 at 12:00:01 AM Pacific Time ("PT") and ends on September 4, 2011 at 11:59:59 ("PT") (the "Sweepstakes Period").

LOL, that is pretty funny. I wonder if it has something to do with giveaways in Canada. Like you have to term it a "contest" or something for it to be legal.

It's a giveaway :) not a license or degree Makes me wonder if in the future you'll have to be literate to win a lottery! :)

I can't say as I know why we have the skill testing question either, but it's usually something like (1+2+3 / 6= ?)
Not exactly a tough question.

something about having to answer questions correctly within a certain time makes my heart race a little. make it a math question and the blood pressure would go through the roof. in my mind, I'm thinking calculus or algorithms or square roots....in 60 seconds or less :) Doh!

It is a requirement to win just about anything in Canada and has been ever since I can remember.

It's not like the questions are hard, for crying out loud.

BTW: Family friend won a prize a few years back. He had to answer a skill-testing question.

He was allowed 1 hour to answer a basic math question.

They called him back an hour later for his answer. Needless to say, he was correct, lol.

If there were no "skill-testing" question, it would fit the Criminal Code definition of "a game of chance" and be illegal (I think that's the answer anyway)

If you read the back of OLG lottery tickets it states in order to claim a lottery prize we must answer a skill testing question too.

I say just bring a calculator with you. When they present the math problem to you, just whip out your calculator. There's nothing in the rules that state you can't.

you guys are retarded. And I rarely say that. Its a simple test to show you aren't a robot, child, or dumb fuck wanting FREE SHIT so spoon fed to their annoying useless face that they are upset they have to dust off the cortex required in third grade. Vis-a-vis; you've got to be fucking kidding me, our civilizations infrastructure is blowing out the window and this is what you bitch about.

Re: WTF? Canadians MUST pass MATH test in order to claim Sweepstakes prize?
It's the result of a law. Games of chance are technically illegal so they ask you a question and you get the "Prize" for answering it.

IT's just a loophole that the government tolerates.
