LOL, that is pretty funny. I wonder if it has something to do with giveaways in Canada. Like you have to term it a "contest" or something for it to be legal. |

something about having to answer questions correctly within a certain time makes my heart race a little. make it a math question and the blood pressure would go through the roof. in my mind, I'm thinking calculus or algorithms or square roots....in 60 seconds or less :) Doh! |

He was allowed 1 hour to answer a basic math question.
They called him back an hour later for his answer. Needless to say, he was correct, lol. |

If there were no "skill-testing" question, it would fit the Criminal Code definition of "a game of chance" and be illegal (I think that's the answer anyway) |

If you read the back of OLG lottery tickets it states in order to claim a lottery prize we must answer a skill testing question too.
I say just bring a calculator with you. When they present the math problem to you, just whip out your calculator. There's nothing in the rules that state you can't. |

It's the result of a law. Games of chance are technically illegal so they ask you a question and you get the "Prize" for answering it.
IT's just a loophole that the government tolerates. |
