the reason social security ballooned is simple enough
the greedy bastards offshored manufacturing and
basic clerical jobs to asia.
so while you may get cheap goods and services
you also pay more in taxes to support those
who are jobless at home.

Ron Paul needs to come up with ways to
recreate a strong healthy manufacturing base at home
which will result in job creation, limit imports
and expand exports to where they can compete
with the exports of other nations.

The unemployed and those hidden away in prisons
are in the main what were termed blue collar workers
they arent going to go away unless jobs are
created which suit their skill base and that is
factory and basic office work.

when they do away with social security the vaccuum
creates a huge fat cash cow for the insurance companies
if you let them..
who will ply people with ways to invest for their future
..young people are gullible when it comes to those
schemes or scams.. you really only get back what
you put in if you are lucky and the insurance
agents gets to skim off the cream and live well
off the fruits of your labour.
its harder but you have to save enough to invest in
land and property as that is the only asset which increases
in value over a lifetime...not hand your hard earned
money in drip feed lots to investment brokers.

It's not up to the POTUS to create jobs. That has been the misunderstood fact all have. It's Governments roll to create a good atmosphere for business growth, which would create jobs. Government creating jobs equals bigger government, which is unsustainable at current and future rates.

I totally agree with your statement on SS...since the Government failed at it's attempt, we need to phase it out and allow the people to have a choice to what they wish to do with their monies and future. Again, at current and future rates, another totally unsustainable program.

Basically, when a Government goes beyond it's intended purpose, it fails. The utopia that all should desire is the freedom and liberty which we've allowed to be stripped away from each and everyone of us. Freedom, Liberty and a Free Market takes care of it's self, as long as Government doesn't interfere and the people are Responsible.

Responsible People, Responsible Government...that simple!

 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 1506159

He's ultra-paranoid, and probably very young and naive.

No one in America will get pulled over for having a Ron Paul bumper sticker. I'd be more afraid of someone vandalizing my car because of a bumper sticker than anything else. But you're more likely to be a victim of vandalism with an Obama bumper sticker than RP.

I'm sure the majority don't really know who RP is. Maybe they've heard of him, but probably don't really know him all that well or have taken the time to really listen to him and think about what he says and means.

Re: Ron Paul gets standing ovation on The View. at 3:20 he says these sustained wars "might even be a conspiracy"
I like Ron Paul, but let's be reasonable enough to put it straight:

Unless you could open all parts of our government up for election at the same time, and the country would vote for people like Paul, nothing will ever change.

Big money is in control of our government to maintain status quo and big profits. They own media. They own politicians.

No one man will ever make a difference. To a great degree, this has been proven with Obama.

Paul would make for a refreshing change, and thanks to Capitol Hill clusterfuck, would be able to do nothing.
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 1010907

You don't know much about US elections. Haven't done much math either.

A simple google search would have told you that all seats in the House of Representative are up for grabs every 2 years.
435 Seats

In the Senate, in 2012, there are 30 seats up for grabs.

That makes a total of 475 seats out of 535 are open and subject to change.
All at the same time.

Obama only set out to do his corporate masters' bidding.

One man, the right man, Ron Paul, with the support of the people, can change the world overnight in some ways, and within weeks make real tangible changes. THINK!

 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 1524756

Ron Paul wants a new 911 investigation. He went so far as to say that when that happens, we will have to be careful that the new one isn't used to cover up the cover ups of the first one.

So, there is your clue. You've been schooled. Now, STFU.

There is only one thing wrong about Ron Paul...he is presently 77 years old!I believe that he is totally honest but his age worries me.The job of a president is hell and we certainly would not want an incapacitated President in the Whitehouse....it would make the Chinese way too excited.
 Quoting: Childoflight 1534525

Paul looks pretty healthy and vital to me. That goes to show what personal responsibility can do.
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 1408190

He is a very youthful 76. He rides a bike 20 miles. He runs. He swims. He does other exercise. He spends at least 1 hour a day doing exercises.

GET SAVED: Thread: Are you SAVED from DAMNATION?

"For all the law is fulfilled in one word, even in this; Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. But if ye bite and devour one another, take heed that ye be not consumed one of another.

This I say then, Walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfil the lust of the flesh. For the flesh lusteth against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh: and these are contrary the one to the other: so that ye cannot do the things that ye would. But if ye be led of the Spirit, ye are not under the law.

Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are these; Adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness, Idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies, Envyings, murders, drunkenness, revellings, and such like: of the which I tell you before, as I have also told you in time past, that they which do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God. But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law. And they that are Christ's have crucified the flesh with the affections and lusts.

If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit. Let us not be desirous of vain glory, provoking one another, envying one another." -- Galatians 5:14-26

I understand where he's coming from. As a teacher, we are not allowed (by written policy) to promote specific candidates at work, and a bumper sticker could be construed that way and used against us. But then, the teachers' union endorses candidates (always Democrats) and we get these danged emails telling us we are supposed to vote for the doofus because it's our responsibility as a member of the union (Most of us only join the union for the million dollar liability insurance policy anyway and don't want anything else to do with it). So, in other words, we aren't supposed to think for ourselves, but do what they tell us. Isn't that just like public school systems these days?

Ron Paul, the freemason:

**Ron Paul voted YES on continuing military recruitment on college campuses.

**Ron Paul voted NO on increasing minimum wage to $7.25

- Ron Paul

**"If Iranian forces or Al Qaeda attacked our diplomatic personnel (troops), I would go to Congress for the appropriate declaration and then TURN LOOSE OUR CLANDESTINE services and/or armed forces"
- Ron Paul

**Once we have a strong economy, we'll want OPEN BORDERS because we'll need those workers
- Ron Paul

**The Arabs are important. They have a lot of oil under their control. We cannot flaunt the Arabs and say, get lost.
We must protect OUR OIL.
At the same time, there is a strong constituency for NEVER OFFENDING ISRAEL.

notamason

Military recruitment on college campuses * YEA ! * recruiting educated people to do specialized jobs and to put in leadership positions, hot shot pilots in our jets, educated people steering our ships and submarines, running our radar and computer tech, working the hospitals.
Yea, good for Ron.

Minimum wage, needs to go. It hurts young people looking for jobs, and it hurts experience workers because it makes it more likely that they will start at a wage lower than deserved.
[link to www.ontheissues.org]

Ron Paul said that, and this is what is Constitutional, that a president can only go to war with an act of Congress. That is what is true.
On Blackwater and clandestine forces. Ron Paul is against Blackwater and clandestine forces. Has stated it in many speeches, and debates. You should watch some of those.
Making shit up discredits you.

On border control: Ron Paul is for strong border controls.
You could have looked this up, but lying is so much easier, right?

Are we having fun yet, shill? If not, hold on. More fun coming.

Ron Paul does not think that the Arab's oil belongs to us.
What kind of nutcase would think that? You.

As for Israel, Ron Paul does not support giving them foreign aid, nor does he support military aid to them.

You did not quote Ron Paul. For you to think that you could fool us speaks to your sorry lack of education.
Bullshit that you make up and put quotation marks around is still bullshit.
