WTF!!!!Bank of America 'called grieving widow 48 times a day to remind her of husband's debt' | |
Anonymous Coward User ID: 1531745 Vietnam 09/04/2011 09:45 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | I sympathized with this person. All she has to do is to send her husband's death certificate. It happened to me once when I was in MA. After my mom passed away, her doctor office sent me her bill. I informed them that she passed away by sending them her death certificate. After that, their collection agency sent me her bill and i forwarded them my mom death certificate. When her doctor office called me, i told them to look up her computer and they should know that she passed away in their freaking hospital. I was so pissed that i told them that they needed to go to hell to collect the money because my mom wasn't alive. Humanity was shitty. |
tinygreen (OP) User ID: 427545 United States 09/04/2011 09:46 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | more threats to people from BOA Bank of America Threatens Foreclosure On Elderly Couple Who Paid Mortgage Early Late last year, the Florida couple, Sharon Bullington, 70, and her 78-year-old terminally ill husband, were forced, due to mounting health care bills, to apply for mortgage relief under the federal Home Affordable Modification Program (HAMP). After receiving approval for the application, Sharon sent in her first check (for January's rent) for the adjusted amount on December 23, 2010. This, apparently, set off Bank of America's powers-that-be. Official HAMP guidelines dictate that the Bullingtons should have technically made their first adjusted payment on January 1, 2011, and, "by not making January's payment on January 1st, the Bullingtons had failed to comply with HAMP's terms." I know T-MOBILE allow you to have a new number after issuing you a number for 6 months. Here is another way to deal bill collectors. When they send you a bill, don't open it. Mail it back with a sentence " this person doesn't live here" or "wrong address' on an envelope. My friend in CA did it and it worked. He did it 4 times before they stopped sending. Furthermore, he also didn't pick up the phone when it rang. He answered the phone if he heard your voice on his answering machine. |

We got harassed by a bill collector trying to collect on a credit card they said my husband owed. He has never had a credit card in his name, ever. After going around and around with this nasty person I told them they had to send me proof of the debt. They were checking the address they had on file... it was someone with the same name (spelled differently) who lived at a different address in town. I let loose on the motherfucker and took all of my frustration for the week out on his unlucky ass. No more calls. Last Edited by snark on 09/04/2011 10:51 AM T For Texas, T For Tennessee!
