In the near future Mexican truck drivers will be bringing containers full of China junk to a Walmarts near you.

New Container Port Planned for Mexico to Take Overflow from L.A.
$1 billion container port to be built at Punta Colonet on Mexico's west coast Plans for a $1bn container port to be built at Punta Colonet on Mexico's west coast have been unveiled by Marine Terminals Corp, a California holding company owned by Evergreen, Yang Ming, Hanjin and China Shipping.

The aim is to create an alternative to the congested southern California ports of Los Angeles and Long Beach.

Walter Romanowski, Marine Terminals' executive vice-president for container operations, said the firm wanted to build a complex of berths, warehouses and cranes at Punta Colonet to handle some 1m teu by 2012 - about one-seventh of LA's current volume.

Marine Terminals also hopes to construct a new rail line to carry containers from the proposed Mexican port to California's Imperial Valley.

A Chinese company with close ties to the Beijing Communist government was planning to take over the operation of the Panama Canal, a secret government report revealed.

And according to Adm. Thomas Moorer, with facilities at both ends of the canal and an agreement with the Panamanian government, Hong Kong-based Hutchison Whampoa Ltd. has the ability to all but control the strategic waterway.

TODAY a team of local workmen in Panama will start to dig a hole part-funded by Japan, aided by Latin American cash and big enough to hold the world's biggest Danish-owned, South Korean-built megaships.
The ultimate winner, though, will be China.

China's Port in Pakistan?

China's dream of Indian Ocean ports -- the so-called string of pearls -- is heightening geopolitical tensions in a rough neighborhood.

Thus, China has been engaged in port-building projects in Pakistan and Burma, which, someday, may be linked by roads and energy pipelines directly to China. Besides offering an alternative route for energy supplies, such new ports will be the 21st-century equivalent of 19th-century British coaling stations for China's budding maritime empire spanning the Indian Ocean. Once China has developed a blue-water navy to protect its sea lines of communications, it will require port access along the global energy interstate that is the Indian Ocean.

Any reason why Idaho was chosen as the first state to hand over? With Idaho's reputation of being a bastion of rugged individualism and American free spirit it seems like Illuminati/Goldman Sachs/Banking elite are doing it there first just to piss on them as an insult.
