Illuminati References in Breaking Bad
While watching Breaking Bad tonight I happened upon a very odd looking shirt that was being worn by the character Walter White Jr. who is played by RJ Mitte

I usually don't look at signs or subliminal imagery as a big deal but this is kind of stomach turning with the Illuminati eye and Ron Paul embedded into these shows..

I have to admit it's my favorite too but lately I've been noticing more and more of the Illuminati/NWO symbolism

Not surprising if you know who Vince Gilligan is.

First time I saw this show I noticed they showed a lot of chemtrails in the sky. Seemed intentional.

Good show, btw. My favorite character is the lawyer.

I think Walt's stuffing that pipe.

I think it was two episodes ago, Jesse comes to the door in a Skull and Bones t-shirt. When the camera pulls back, the house number is '322', the same numbers in the Skull & Bones logo. There has been a placement like that in several other shows...racking my brain...

Re: Illuminati References in Breaking Bad
The show certainly is dark, and in ways that are kind of uncharted for popular television. It's well done for the most part, and for that reason I've been intrigued enough to keep up with it and I have to say I enjoy it. But now and then I wonder about the content, and more so the tone -- some of those scenes with the wonky music and dark subject matters can give you the chills. (Spoiler: Even the scene with the giant magnet. Nothing particularly eerie about what's taking place, rather it's pretty neat, even if unrealistic, but note how the whole scene is a little spooky. What with the tricycle and and lamp moving to the magnets.)

Walt is unraveling as a man in a way that kind of makes you uncomfortable. It's good art, I think. The acting is great, the writing is pretty consistent.

Anyway, back to whatever kind of point I was trying to make: Breaking Bad is an eerie show. So if its creator is, how shall we say, unworthy of our trust, I would probably say that the show might intentionally lead us to dark places. Nothing more, nothing less - and not unlike what the motive of several shows might be. So it's possible there's nothing too deep here, just a little, 'Hello' now and again from the Illuminati.

But maybe Gilligan is trying to warn us. Who knows? Does anybody really get away with that on national television? My guess is no. Which is why I'm suspicious of everyone from Ron Paul to just about anybody who makes a relevant point on television.

Re: Illuminati References in Breaking Bad
I also think it's worth thinking about why they might want to lead you to dark places on anything that's shown on television.

Think about how addictive a show can be. It envelops your conscious thoughts, and leads you to imagine what might happen next, or what would have happened if, etc. etc. Pretty elementary. But think about how Breaking Bad does this, and you might be closer to figuring out television's grander role in our day-to-day lives.

With Breaking Bad, you're imagining the decay of a man who has been overcome by a growing darkness of his own egging. He hatched it, he fried it and now he's eating it up. What do you think about when you watch Breaking Bad?

The answer very well could be in this basic idea. For everyone, it's different, but how different? It's no doubt dark. Not many will sit there expecting Walt to turn good. But good people watch the show, and likely find themselves hoping he does bad. Sympathizing, to a degree.

This sympathy for a bad guy, while not new to art by any stretch of the imagination, has an interesting dynamic on television. It's not like the great literature, where the story is much more fleshed out and, if it's good, will never lead you to a dark place but will rather teach you something valuable.

On television. What are we left with at the end of a show, even a good one? Lots of images. That's something to consider. Television stories are more than stories, moving pictures tell us things that we aren't always conscious of. So a show like Breaking Bad, if produced by the wrong sort of people can and likely will end up being something you could have done without. And that my friends, is my personal opinion: most if not all of what you see on television is something you could have done without. Breaking Bad included.

I still watch it. So take it for what it's worth.
