Bank trying to pull a fast one with MERS?????

Nobody??? I am wondering if they have my originals or not, and if they are trying to give me a lower rate to get my signature. Dont know what will end up with the MERS thing and I would be so pissed if I signed these and than found out I wasnt obligated to pay the original if they didnt have the paperwork. What do you think? Has anyone else had this happen? I asked them for a copy of the original mtg and note and they said they would put in a request, that was last week and I havent heard back yet.
