Someone told me that Stanley Greenberg(the american political demorcrat strategist) had a hand in the planning of the Emir of Qatar assassination(now failed attempt) and he wanted this to happen so it would be easier for him to destroy Israel.

Because Greenberg wants to destroy Israel by using usefull idiots so he can usher in his new leader. His leader whom he supports so feveredly is Hussein O-bammy, and wants to support his actions of replacing Israel with a terrorist palestinian state,and of course a second holocaust. So Greenberg is willing to take any action(s) neccessary to topple Israel,even including assassination planning and logistical support of Foreign leaders.

So this someone who told me this,also told me that Stanley Greenberg is a "DEAD MAN WALKING" ! And Greenberg is going to be that recipient by the hands of A faction allied with The "Yakuza" and A Samurai warrior clan that trained Ex-retired Mossad agents. And this faction is going to start getting full funding by the Emir of Qatar as retaliation payback to greenberg !!

But hey, paper food stamps is a great idea. It is money backed by food. It could be spent (passed around) several times before it was ever cashed in!

In all honesty people have and will always be able to get anything they desire with food stamps. They trade them for cash (2$ in foods tamps for 1$ in cash is a typical transaction) Then they can get booze, hookers or drugs. The worst i have heard about was the water wasters. The people in certain states who buy bottled water, go outside and dump the water to return empties for cash deposit. I dunno if i saw it posted here but it was pretty outrageous. One couple was seen dumping out the bottles around the side of the store. My point is that if someone really wants something then they can get it with food stamps. They can trade for cash and go to KFC .

You know i was homeless once and lived in a tent for 4 months in a desert until i got a job and got a place to live again. Lemme tell you this. I never complained once about not having prepared once!!! There are plenty of non junk food items in cans that you can eat. This includes veggies, fish and meat. You have tuna, salmon, roastbeef in cans, sardines, potted meat, vienna sausages, Chilli, FREAKIN SOUP!!! (i dont care about bitching about salt content.. soup is healthy), chicken, spam, oysters, FRUIT!!

Then there is other items not in can like fresh fruit, peanut butter, bread, jerky, nuts etc. Being homeless does not mean you need prepared food or that you cannot eat healthy. Man a big jar of peanut butter and a couple loaves of bread go a long way. I had a diverse selection and variety.

Also note that there are places that serve hot meals to the homeless. Sally's (salvation army) here serves cold lunch every weekday and hot dinner every weekday. There a church that does a hot meal buffet pot luck style dinner in the city park once a month. I am sure every location may differ but you get my point.

Freakin taco bell? your kidding me right? Ok so now we compound the issue with obesity from eating this junk 24/7?? Not to mention the health effects. I mean no fast food is good for you ALL THE TIME period.

You can get by without unprepared food quite fine. Hell i even had a makeshift grilling pit dug into the ground with a old rack from the inside of an oven i found to make the grill surface. I had hot food plenty of times (and yes i know some live in big urban settings where this isnt possible)

You also can talk a convenience store clerk into letting you use the microwave to heat up your food if they arent an asshole etc, and your nice about it. One clerk in a store told me to come by whenever i needed to when he was on shift to heat up my food. Which honestly i didnt really need all that often.

Well fast food is cheap..and at times can be cheaper than grocery store meals. There's a reason for this though!

Very well said. A lot of people live on a raw food diet anyway. It's quite healthy.

Most of the people hitting fast food joints are doing so because they are lazy, not because they lack the ability to cook foods. I have no issue with them being able to buy roasted chickens from the deli (it's actually cheaper than buying one yourself and trying to cook it), especially elderly people who aren't really able to cook due to arthritis or memory issues (ie - burning down the house because they forgot a pot was on the stove). But, I draw the line at fast food joints. Wheat bread, peanut butter, and some raw fruit or carrot sticks will keep for the week it takes you to consume it and is far healthier than fast food. Nothing better IMO than peanut butter and honey on whole wheat bread with a sliced banana in the middle. For those who do have a home and have electricity, buy a damn crock pot. Super easy meals and usually pretty nutritious if you don't dump cream of whatever soup on top of everything you put in it.

This will just be a backdoor subsidy for corporations that will then lobby congress anytime food stamp entitlement reform comes to the floor. After all it will effect their bottom line and cause the Dow to tank because their new forecasts include the subsidy.

I will still continue spending mine on organic food at the local natural food store and farmer's market regardless.
