The more you sweat the more of the nicotine you get out of your system. Once the majority of the nicotine is out of your system, the cravings, withdrawal symptoms, and overall bad mood will vanish. Best of luck to you! I'm on my 4th time "quitting" but I just can't seem to do it yet. Then again it's probably because I'm being pushed to quit instead of the decision coming purely from me heh. |

Just because someone is deserving of a beatdown does not suggest that you have anger issues. think about it. chicken or egg |
| nitetrain User ID: 1533749 09/06/2011 05:57 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | give it 2 more months..your blood pressure rises, so you can sweat, and burn fat that has nicotine stored along with stem cells...your body is naturally trying to fullfill your cravings...get some hard candy at walmarts and make sure its the non-sugar candy..or your teeth will become sensitive and rot out...this will help, somewhat...keep fighting...you dont want your fingers, breathe and clothes to smell like smoke again...so keep fighting... I would suggest staying away from here until you feel its under control though. Much better chance running into ass clowns that'll piss you off here than in real world. In fact 100% within the first two minutes... - also take a few deep breaths and hold last one as long as you can, or at least 20-30 seconds when cravings come...That helped out greatly for me. Seem to remember slight cravings popping up out of nowhere for the first 6-8 months. not often but just out of the blue, easy to control though...unless you drink good luck |
| Anonymous Coward User ID: 777566 09/06/2011 07:40 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | It takes about 9 days for the nicotine receptors in your brain matter to release the last of the nicotine. Hang in there! Your almost there! In 48-72 hours you'll feel much better. Until then, I will tell you what I did to help through it. You know those long freezer kiddie pops that you buy in boxes of like 50-100 that you stick in the fridge. It takes about the same time to eat one of those as it does to smoke a coffin nail. In the meantime you get a sweet reward and it is something to do with your hand and mouth. Try something like that. By the time I finished a whole box I no longer smoked. :) |

How long does it last? Quoting: Anonymous Coward 1015009 Seventh day? Try two or three years down the line, clean. It's very hard, giving up smoking. Probably harder than losing a heroin habit. It took me 5 years, and 3 attempts, to kick. So don't beat yourself up if you lapse, for a year or two. |
| Shootzoo User ID: 1553976 09/23/2011 08:50 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | First step is to realize that your NOT a quitter. Next step is to realize that you are a non smoker. You just simply don't smoke. (That shit is Nasty!!) People that smoke are stupid and lazy. Stupid because they Know it Killing them and lazy because they don't make the effort. How long does it last? Quoting: Anonymous Coward 1015009 The best way to stop smoking is to give your life to Jesus Christ. I use to smoke pot and drink wine and beer 2 to 3 times a week. And when I gave my life to Jesus Christ; I no longer had those bad habits. But the smoking and ash demon is in you and it is requiring you to smoke. And those demons in you are very annoyed because they can't smell that smoke. Plus; your body has developed a deep craving for nicotine and thats why you are so angry and irritated.
