I have an idea you might or might not like

If using Starships my idea is to Play Nice music from the ships in the sky so is heard everywhere.

Then the fear of some people will be changed with curiosity in why the ships play music.

I have had this idea long, and i think is a good one

Thanks for being here to answer some questions and to attempt to learn from us as well. I have heard of a species that resembles the physical description which you have provided about yourself and your people. The account made clear that the species in question was very kind, generous and honest. So, a good reputation precedes your people as far as I am concerned.

I, of course, have many questions for you but I will suspend them. I post this reply to, perhaps, answer (to some degree) your question as to why earth humans have "changed". Then again, I'm not entirely sure what you mean by "changed" as in "from what--to what" but I think I have a general idea.

I would like to submit a possible (but alas incomplete) answer that may be of assistance.

Humans have rejected eugenics AND natural selection. Mostly, this is due to the issue of "civil rights" which has been misconstrued to include procreation as a "fundamental right" of all humans. This philosophy is not completely pervasive throughout our planet but it is dominant.

Mentally and physically feeble humans make poor decisions (sometimes simply due to duress as opposed to cognitive functioning problems) and they are easy to manipulate by political and religious leaders. Unfortunately, those leaders have, for centuries or more, been concerned only for themselves and not for the common good.

Since logical processing capabilities are hampered or simply unknown for many humans (both "educated" and "uneducated"), they don't understand the inconsistencies and biases that they are constantly agreeing to. This creates perpetual confusion and squabbling which leads us to the ongoing stalemate that we have seen for centuries or more.

This may not be the answer that you've sought and it certainly could not be the complete answer. however, I hope it helps you. Cheers.
