When a believer in the official 9/11 story finally woke up

I'm embarrassed to say it was only a few months ago.

Yes, I saw how corrupt in and out our corporatocracy was. I recognized over time the avarice and self-serving greed of the men in charge-- right and left.

But I didn't doubt 9/11

Why?

Because it was too heinous a crime. If Bush and Cheney etc. WERE behind 9/11, then they must someday face trial, imprisonment, and everything else that naturally follows for it. Not only that, but sitting back and just being passive with the knowledge that these men who did this are still walking free, is essentially accepting that representative government is dead and we live in fascist state where justice does not exist.

Not only that, but it means accepting that I personally live in a fascist state every bit as corrupt as Nazi Germany, yet rather than being some heroic person who acts to take it down like any Hollywood hero, my solution is to sit here and bitch, and that's all.

That's why I held to the original 9/11 story, even when I began to question most everything else.

What changed everything for me was reading 'The Shock Doctrine'. It wasn't her whole justification for Iraq-- not that part. It was reading about the torture our government committed, and then reading about the systematic torture we committed against people in Iraq-- practically as a matter of policy.

I read that and was just astounded at the depths of cruelty. Who could do something like that to other people? They truly saw the Iraqis as subhumans.

Within days, the connection formed.

Our elite are not Americans. They're global. There is no true attachment to their countrymen.

They see Iraqis as subhuman.

They see 99.9% of Americans as subhuman.

So what is killing 3,000 people to them? What does it matter to them? It's flicking their fingers at crumbs. They don't care about anything but what they get out of it. They don't care at all.

And with that, I knew they'd done 9/11.

And I know they'll do this next one they keep rumbling hints about through Leon Panetta, etc.
