It shows we are currently in a bear market. Long term, the stock market is not a good investment. It eventually loses all gains and starts over again.

This thread is great because of one thing, the obvious. Most people here think others out there are stupid, and believe the Wall street lie, not so. Last Sept. at the Long Beach coin show I have never seen so many people from all walks of life with cash that they either had hidden away, pulled out of ?, or savings accounts, go up to tables and say to the dealers, "what do you recommend buying?". Now the only way to describe it would be is like a newbie at a auction, bidding on anything and everything, no real direction and lost. My wife and I just got the feeling when we were there that people know things are not right, and it's speeding up (crash)and looking for direction, trying the best they can to not lose any more money that they have left. So I'll have to side with OP on this "take your loss and bail".

Ya, well I'm not in the circle of traders who have the privy of high frequency computers, only designed to trade for them, to steal burst of micro pennies by the billions. Other than that it takes money to make money, and this point in time it's safe bets from here on out.

But if you look at the chart we still have about 2 - 2 1/2 yrs to go.

How could you say that? Look at 2007 when it went down from 14,000 to about 7,300 in just one year. That's almost 7,000 points.

It only has to drop below 7,000 which is the neckline to continue downward. The DOW is currently at around 11,800. It only has to drop about another 4,800 points to do that. That could actually happen within a a few short weeks if the conditions are right.

Neither am I.....nor do you need program trading to be successful.

This is possible, considering all the supidity that this administration is guilty of. A stock market crash, at this time, would definitely result in verification of recent accusations that members of Congress are privileged to engage in inside trading that the general public is not privileged to, under threat of legal action! I'm hoping that a massive crash that catches them by surprise would be sweet retribution!

Other shoulder, based upon PREVIOUS shoulder and head, should take another 9-12 months...approx.

I'm pretty close to what you're thinking time wise. I'm saying 6 to 9 months though. I think this occupy wall street thing is gonna influence that pattern some by adding more downward pressure.

I have some LEAPS positions setup to catch this fall whether in your timeframe or mine.
Hard to nail that exact moment down at this point in 2011.
I also plan on trading it with more depth, as more clear setup appears in the shorter timeframes.
There will be a trigger event of some sort to set this off.
Mabye the EURO UNION's final collapse???

Dunno...but I'm setting myself up for this ONCE IN A LIFETIME money maker.

Don't hold those positions for too long once the shit hits the fan. They'll turn to shit real fast. They'll be no real value there when it does.
