I have tins sons that live in Santee Ca outside san diego and they 2 have NO power...Phone service is down right now they can only text!

LA, harbor area here. We had a 4 minute black out earlier about 3PM. AND a strange smell earlier in the day at 5:00AM.

Isn't there nuclear power in San Diego? Just saying..

That was my first thought because don't people here that study the solar flares and CME's also talk about their possible effect on power grids?

This FUCKING SUCKS!! It's hot as hell too. I haven't seen this wide of an area lose power since the rolling blackouts.
