Also here in lovely NJ, Gov. Christie shutdown the entire Garden State Parkway from Exit 98 southbound for a day or two. Official reason was to keep people from driving to the shore to check out the storm. BS!!! We've had much bigger storms than that, and never was the GSP shutdown. Also, all the trains from NYC to the end of the line in NJ were shut down and the entire NY subway system was closed. Lots of time to plant explosives. |

There is hardly anything more galvanizing on the whole in the US than our pro football, so attacking this game and robbing people of the NFL season would amplify the power of an already powerful event. Also, it would be broadcast on live TV, enhancing the psychological impact. Could happen, but I think enough people are awake enough that it's unlikely. |

Yes, on the news that day they said it was the first time they had ever closed the NY subways...I think it was for about the same amount of time that the World Trade Center was closed for "routine maintenance" right before 911. |
