Not satellites indeed, very high up and not very fast (at least optically - from my point of view on the ground) Quoting: Slow Yes! 23-46 seconds or so from one side of the horizon to the other. If you spend more time looking for them, they become much simpler to spot (barring being blinded by light in the eyes: cars, moon, etc)...moon is going to be out tonight, but I'll try anyways. I'm very curious as to what they are, so bumpity bump |

I've posted about this in a few different manners, but nobody has admitted to have seen this other than one person that I used to spend time with (saw it with me) and you. So, while it's not rare...most people don't concentrate when they look up (or can't see it due to vision problems). I don't know how well telescopes would do, but maybe night vision goggles would help? I'm still tempted to buy a "cheap" pair of those just to see. Might have been from you. But if we've seen them others have too. I hope there's a reasonable, out-of-this-world explanation for these lights :) There was a great sky with a lot of lightning here tonight and I've seen a couple of ufo's that looked suspiciously like Chinese lanterns... but these things are something different. goodnight |
