Sorry you can not rest, TM.

I've been having a hell of a time finding the same myself. I could get 4 hours of sleep...go to work for 8 or 9 hours...get off work and then go to the farm and mow...and I still can't manage to find the ability to just go lay down and sleep. It really sucks.

I laid in the bed next to my wife the last two nights....and was just laying there for over an hour both times...wishing and hoping that the sand man would come find me.

Does cold air do anything to help you? I know it has the opposite effect on some folks...but in my case...if I sit in front of the air conditioning long enough...I finally get cold enough that my body says "hibernation time".

Oddly enough...I work in a freezer. So my bones already hurt from such...but sitting in front of the air seems to be the only solution. Otherwise, a brutal waiting game ensues.

I hope the problem goes away for you. hf

Thanks hun! I'm so sorry to hear you have trouble sleeping too. Pooy on the sand man who keeps missing our houses!! lolsign

I wonder if our subconscious is just working overtime with all the world chaos and it's making it so we can't sleep? IDK. It seems the harder I try to fall asleep the less likely I am to sleep. I try to make sure my mind is quiet when I lay down and *feel* tired and most of the time it is quiet, at least to the point where things are going on over drive up there with random thoughts and still no luck most nights.

It gets old, really, really quick. Especially when you have other responsibilities. Maybe there is just something in the air, like we are waiting for the other shoe to drop and it never does. I know personally I am just ready for the doom to show it's face, get it over with and lets pick up the pieces and move on.

As for cold air coming into play, we don't have AC. I have ceiling fans and awesome ventilation in my house so we stay cool enough. I bet that your body is just so use to working in a cold environment, it's become nature that it can only function, i.e. work and sleep when in a similar environment. I'm sorry hun you are going through this. It sucks. Know that you are not alone though and on sleepless nights you can come and join us here on this thread to pass the time away ;)

I hope that the sand man finds you tonight and that you get a good nights sleep. You deserve it and need it especially when you have so much on your plate.

Hugs to you my friend hf Here are some sheep to help get you to sleep....

Thank you.

After the last couple of days...one thing is for sure. It is not just us GLP'ers.

I talked to my sister who lives out by Chicago the past couple of nights. Her husband is a pretty mellow dude, works hard...just an all around good guy. But even he has this sneaking suspicion that something wicked this way comes.

I talked to her today after I got home from work. She was asking me if everything was good. I told her "Yeah, aside from the president making a very odd speech." and then I played it for her. Her response was something to the effect of "What kind of apocalyptic shit was that?!"

*shrugs*

There is an energy...an awakening happening.

Just wish that it didn't come with the added trouble of making rest (which is already in relatively short supply) hard to find in the first place.

You take care, and may you and yours be well, and hopefully well rested.
