I have been researching the Sumerians for a little while myself. The similarities between these history tablets and the bible are uncanny. I can't wait until more of them are translated.

The book of (genes)is clearly nothing more than a rewrite with the names changed to suit the times. The Sumerians were not the oldest humans known to Earth, but they were the first to organize a complete society, right down to schools.

The Epic of Gilgamesh is the oldest story to ever be recorded and passed down. The Sumerians didn't make the story, but recorded it for posterity.

The old testament bible talks of more than one god. The new testament bible talks of one, but it seems like he is moody or two or so different entities.

I have said it for more than 20 years, the bible is nothing more than a history book. It was greedy humans who wanted power that turned it into a frightful form of control and it still works to this day.

All religions come from these 3000+ year old tablets. Our religious wars are nothing more than a continuation of ancient wars between ancient families that could not agree and used humans to do their fighting so as not dirty their hands. Don't forget, god is a jealous god and you shall have none before him. Hmmm.

All the deniers can stay in denial. There are those of us though that need to know our true origins, and one god is not it.

The Sumerian Creation Tablets are interesting indeed. It tells how and why we were created and talks of some of the failures. It also talks of how maidens were used to incubate the fetuses.

All in all, the bible is based on text much older than christianity itself.

Epic of Gilgamesh isn't a Sumerian legend.

It is Akkadian.
