Yes christianity is fine for those who find it serves them well. It just doesn't do it for me. I am glad your keeping an open mind about the world, I believe we should always keep two eyes open and learn all we can while we are here! I'm going to check out that link you've provided, I love reading about anything to do with Enki <3 and yes the name calling is ridiculious..I'm ok with being called enkitard, Sumaritard..lol but it always goes way further. hf

Why do you hate Christianity (the idea/concept) so much? You understand that Jesus summed up the entire idea more than once, and broke it down simply so we don't have to debate the finer nuances of mistranslation and misinterpretation?

Here's one:

"Teacher, what is the greatest commandment in the law?" And he [Jesus] said to him, "You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your mind. This is the great and first commandment. And a second is like it, You shall love your neighbor as yourself. On these two commandments depend all the law and the prophets." (Matthew 22.36-40)

What is it exactly that you hate so much about that?

Do you think that it is naive to believe that just by loving God and your neighbor everything will work out? Your personal observation is a much harsher and more unforgiving world, right?

Can you not imagine a God/Being that is worthy of all of your love and therefore are offended by any commandment to do so? Do you fear someone unworthy of Godhood attempting to masquerade as God for the purpose of controlling you? Is it conceivable that someone would do this and yet there still exists a real God out there somewhere?

Can you just not imagine why God would want your love/worship unless it was for some nefarious undeserving purpose?

Do you just hate the idea of there being any rules that you MUST follow? Why do you hate these rules more than say "Gravity" or "Conservation of Energy"? Are you only willing to accept rules that can be proven to be true now, within your time frame? Is it conceivable that some rules may take a lifetime to prove, and still have been true all along?

Is it a more general hatred of the idea by association? Do you hate the Christian "leadership" so completely that any idea or person associated with them, even indirectly, is guilty by association?

I do not hate it..promise hf Now when we are talking about Rule's and lifestyle's people live their life by, I can honestly say I live as a "christian" would..I in fact have been a christian majority of my life. I can say I probaly live better then most that consider themselves religious. (i mean morals, respect-nothing materialistic or to that degree) I'm the chick at the homeless shelter on christmas eve helping get people fed, rather then the people sitting at home drinking egg-nog and singing christmas carols with their families. I care about people, animals, nature..I come by it HONESTLY thats just how i have been wired..before i was ever christian, and after i decided christianity wasn't for me. I never needed religion, god, jesus anyone/thing to tell me how to be a good caring self-less person. THIS IS A BOLD STATEMENT BUT..How the god of the O.T is perceived by his own word's (if in fact it is his word's) I live better then he exspects me to live and he perceives himself as a jealous, vindictive, murderous villian in that bible that gonna wipe out everyone. Why would such a powerful god have petty silly human type emotions? Even humans can get over those type's of emotion's..So whats his excuse? Is he afraid we won't bow down? Not only the principles of the pettiness i find throughout religions but on this jesus subject. We hear about him when he's an infant, then he comes back as 30 and all we know about him is from what this saul/paul guy say's decades later! talk about hear say...If god reincarnated into flesh, or had a son by a virgin and roamed around changing the word of god..shouldn't we have kept a better eye on him?
