What else is New?

I tend to agree with you. But, there seems to be at least a bit of coincidence concerning the timeline posited by the calendar and the current sorry state of the US Empire. As we know, any void left by the fall of an established empire is the cauldron of social change, which is usually quite nasty (think Roman Empire fail= dark ages). Maybe some ancients had figured out the algorithm of the cyclical nature of human civilizations?

Uh, yeah they did... it's in cycles, and it's been proven. Each of the runes tell it pretty accurately as to the feel of that rune in it's time.

They also said this is the 5th time of man on this planet. The last time ended about when there was the biblical flood. Which means to the bible, we are on the second time of man. Get it? So it can't be ALL wrong. BTW the 2012 calendar ends then, but it's just the NEW beginning. Doesn't mean the end of it all, but a NEW CYCLE of 26000 years. Also the exact date we align with the galactic core or plane... Funny how they new that huh? Funny how the Mayans knew there is a black hole at the center too?? Funny how they knew so many things about space, without modern telescopes. We didn't know about black holes until the 20th century. Yet they did 3600 years ago???

this is true. so much knowledge has been lost over the ages. people today only need think of what would likely happen if (when) our civilization collapses. only a small, select few folks understand how to create the technology that drives our empire. and, they tend to be the first to die off or lose the necessary resources to create if the bottom of the economy ( the working folks) falls apart. that, and technology is inherently fragile. it would be the first to deteriorate without a society to maintain it, therefore destroying all evidence of it's existense. except, of course, the products of its influence. the White House, the Washington Monument (obelisk), and other stone works would likely survive time, yet the machines that erected them would have long rusted away...
