Most indigenous peoples have no say so on the rights to their own lands. Empires and countries have excluded natives of conquered lands in politics since the dawn of time. Might makes right and those with the power will always make the rules whether we like them or hate them. Unfortunately for the "Palestinians" they are not a genetically distinct group of people they are a group of people named after where they lived. "Palestinians" are almost exclusively of an Arab or Jewish genetic make up. Saying a modern day occupant of the Gaza Strip is entitled to the land because they are "Palestinian" is like saying all Americans deserve plots of land in Europe, Africa, Mexico, etc because well they are African American or Italian American and those are their historic homes after all. So while I may lobby for Native/Aboriginal rights I can't even see where "Palestinians" begin to form their argument. Throughout time they never set up a country, never made an attempt to create a Palestine that wasn't just a province in somebody else's empire or country. They sat back lived their lives and tried to survive. They had no idea or desire for self determination on a national level until Israel was created. Then and ONLY THEN did they want something of their own and lets face facts since most "Palestinians" are Muslim they only wanted their own country because of outside pressures from other Muslim countries of the area to prosecute the idiotic feud most(not all) Muslims have with Jews. "Palestinians" are the modern equivalent of Soviet shock armies. They did not, they didn't even try, didn't discuss it. "Palestinians" had a momentous opportunity when they had open elections, they elected a Hamas, a terrorist group. They launch rockets non stop at civilian areas then complain when their kids get killed while they hide behind their own women and children. As far as I can determine from researching Arab news sources and western news sources "Palestinians" are not wanted anywhere else in the Arab world, they are where they are because nobody else wants them, Palestine is an Arab concentration camp. "Palestinians" have had their chance and they blew it. Israel has been surrounded by enemies since it was created. They never had to give back the Sinai Peninsula, they could have kept the Suez canal like they did the Golan heights, west bank and Gaza strip but they didn't in the interest of peace. Now the Fanatical Muslim countries of the area want war again in direct defiance of their own religion and use the "Palestinian" puppets to fan the flames. Remember history is written by the winners and the only losers here will be the civilians on both sides of the conflict.
