Top Ramen.

Boil 2 cups of water.
Open package of noodles, put into boiling water. Let cook for 4 min.
Open sesoning packat, and pour into water with noodles.
Stir to mix
Serve hot.

Servings per package 2 (not really, but thats' what it says)

I thought it would be nice with school starting to put some recipes on here that are either easy to do, quick, one pot, etc.
Post things you like to make and your family likes to eat. Maybe we can get something new and different than the same old stuff.

Put the name of the recipe, difficulty, total time and prep time in your recipes. Also how many it serves.

EASY
total time- 6+ hours
prep time- 10 mins
serves 8

Crockpot chicken tacos
4 chicken breasts
1 jar salsa
1 package shredded cheddar
1 package flour tortilla

Put breasts and salsa in crock pot on low before leaving for work in the morning.

Pull chicken out and shred it with your fork and throw it back in the pot. Stir it in the salsa.
Take tortillas, pile on chicken, top with cheese, roll them up and enjoy. You can add onions or other stuff with the cheese, but my kids dont like onions.

smile_kiss Major YUMM I bet it looks impressive too. How long does it take start to finish
 Quoting: flavapor

It is super yummy I have pictures but not sure how to add them It takes me about an hour and 20 minutes if you do not pre cut up some ingredients also you have to let the roast rest before cutting. I like to shop and then pre-cut up some things to grab and create with less prep time ..I take that time to create the Bearnaise and normally a veggi like Asparagus or fresh spinach sauteed with pine nuts or my Greek salad. I am on vacation now but when I get back I will post some other recipes. Some are easy some are a bit more to tackle but I love LOVE to cook :)

also, to add pics, you upload them to photobucket or tinypics. i use pb because it's user friendly. i haven't used tinypic, i can't say how it works.

load to program.

crop and/or resize as needed.

you will add the pic as a smilie, smile size is 200kb and 640 x 480 pixals.

name your pic what you want to use as your smilie name.

go to custom smilies and follow the instructions as you would if you uploaded a smilie. program will tell you if something is wrong.

wait however long and then check your custom smilie manager to see if it's loaded to your list of smilies. use at will.

I made my personal (lazy way) chicken n dumplins' and it was awesome.

First off let me explain if it can be cooked in one pot, I like it. If its really easy I like it even more.

Total cook time about 1.5 hour
total prep time about 15 mins

One whole frying chicken
1c frozen peas
3 stalks celery
3 carrots
1 can green beans
one small onion
2 potatoes
chicken bullion
1 can bisquits
pepper

Put the chicken in a large stock pot and cover with water and bring to a boil. Cook for about 45 mins. While waiting for chicken to cook, peel the potato, onion, carrots, and cut into grape size peices or smaller. Cut the celery the same size. Once the chicken is cooked, remove it and put the veggies you cut in the stock and let them boil, add the bullion and some pepper. Once the chicken cools off break it apart like you would for chicken soup and throw it back in the pot along with the peas and green beans. Bring to a boil and throw in the bisquits, I like to break each one into about 5 pieces so that they are bite sized, they cook in the broth and stay at the top. At the very end I thicken it all up with cornstarch and water mixture.

It sounds hard, but its easy, also I use a pressure cooker, 30 mins for the chicken, than I take the cover off and cook the rest in the pot without the top. It would be an easy thing to precook the chicken the night before and than just do the rest the following evening.

This is a great winter dinner.hf

We're big fans of fresh vegies in my house. This is the "official" recipe but we change things here and there. I use fresh diced tomatoes, a little tomato sauce, and water as opposed to canned tomatoes. If you want though you can always go with frozen mixed vegies if you'd prefer.

we usually eat this on a small bed of red beans and rice but its also great alone. The chops come out sooo tender.

Garden Pork Chops
6 Pork Chops,
1 large clove garlic, minced
1/2 tsp oregano
2 tsp salt
1 Tbs olive oil
1/2 Tbs vinegar
1 medium onion, diced
1 15 oz can diced tomatoes
2 medium carrots, peeled and diced
1/2 lb fresh green beans, ends trimmed and chopped
1 large ear of corn, shucked

Rinse and clean pork chops. Dry with paper towels and set aside.
Combine garlic, oregano, salt, olive oil and vinegar in a mortar and pestle. Mash until well combined. Pour garlic mixture over pork chops and toss until all chops are well coated on both sides.
Heat a heavy deep skillet or dutch oven over medium-high heat. Working in batches, brown the chops.
After the chops have been browned, place all the chops back into the skillet. Pour tomatoes with their juices and onions over the top. Bring to a simmer, lower heat, cover and cook for 25 minutes. Add carrots and cook, covered, for an additional 5 minutes. Add corn and green beans and cook covered for 10 minutes. Then remove the lid and cook, uncovered, for a final 10 minutes.
Serve pork chops hot with vegetables over top.

I somehow missed this one1dunno1 I am going thru and copy/pasting to a document that I call recipe book. I print them out just in case my computer ever crashes. This one I HAVE to make. I am a gardener, and can use all the stuff from my garden.

My grandmother used to make this and I loved it. She would make it on holidays and we kids would get yelled at for eating it to fast. Hers had pistachio nuts in it and unfortunatly the recipe died with her. I think I will try a batch of this and make half with pistachios to see if I can get some of grandma back.applause

Yes it can be made with pistachios, almonds almost any chopped nut :) It is very yummy :) You may want a 1/2 sugar 1/2 water with a dash on vanilla syrup instead of the honey on the pistachios since they have so much flavor :) I hope you enjoy it

Mooshi

Good for you. I hate to sew, but I do love to do other things. I love crafts, I made curtains for my entire house with a glue gun! I also recovered two god awful ugly chairs to match the drapes in the sitting room. Lately I have been into making glass fused jewelry. One of my favorite things to do is take old crappy furniture that is on the side of the road and paint it to make it look like what you see on the caribbean islands.

Good karma for youhf
