MamaHasAwakened User ID: 5426767 United States 03/15/2012 12:58 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Sorry guys that I haven't been too active in the thread. What time I have during the day is trying to do some research on all this sun activity. Quoting: old guard I'm worried about Tauranga, too. What have you found out? What is going on with the coronal hole thing??? I have tried to understand that stuff, but I just dont get it. I prefer to have someone interpert the info and give it to me in layman's terms. I hope its just internet problems or something, its not like her to be gone so long. (Tauranga). Hopefully TG gets her elec straight soon too. I hope she at least has figured out hot water and heat. Having no lights is do-able, no hot water is not! HI Everyone, Been crazy busy aside from watching all the solar and earthquake stuff. Interesting times indeed! Flava, I will post that Pepper Jelly Recipe tomorrow. Need to get the website from my other computer. I know I already posted one awhile back. Will double check to make sure it is the same one. Hope everyone is doing well. Missing TG and Tauranga... So glad TB made it safely. Nines, great job on Eazy D's paper Eazy D great job on your paper Old Guard I will see you over on the EQ and solar threads. Southern Oregon...great job with the car/school issue. Drendwire... hope to see you soon. Please forgive me if I missed anyone! Hope to get back and catch up soon. Headed to Florida this weekend. Hope it is just as warm there as it was here today. My car temp guage said 86 and I even turned on my AC. Unbelievable for us in March! Hope you have a safe trip. What part are you going to? Flying or driving? It has been excellent weather this week here in Fl. It has been in the low 70's at night, and even upper 60's, but upper 70's to mid 80's during the day. Sunny and breezy, but not windy. If your coming near Orlando let me know. :) SHeesh, I though I was in TG's thread above! I am half asleep. Headed to Ft. Walton on the panhandle. We are painfully driving. Ohhh should take us 13 hours! Not looking forward to that part!. Flava, after I get back, I would like to place an order from you, if that is ok! |

flavapor (OP) User ID: 964647 United States 03/16/2012 05:32 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Another great recipe from my mother in law: Quoting: Southern OR Cheesy Cauliflower 1 whole head Cauliflower 3/4 cup mayo (or plain yogurt) Couple tablespoons mustard A smidge of curry (you can leave this out if you don't like curry) 1/2 cup shredded cheese (I use either sharp or swiss) breadcrumbs Remove leaves from Cauliflower. Steam or par boil the whole cauliflower head. While cooling mix the mayo, mustard, curry, and cheese together. Coat Cauliflower with the mixture then cover with breadcrumbs. Bake at 350 till breadcrumbs have browned. YUM! I am making this tonight, its in the oven now! |

old guard User ID: 1405158 United States 03/16/2012 09:47 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | I made a quick desert recipe today that family and guests love. Pineapple Cake 1 15oz can crushed pineapple 2 cups flour 2 cups sugar 2 tsp baking soda 2 eggs 1tsp vanilla extract Combine all ingredients in a bowl. I bake mine in a 13X9 glass pan,but you could use other shapes. Bake 350 degrees for 30- 35 min. or when pick comes out clean. I use a cream cheese frosting for this. |

Do you leave the juice in the pineapple, or drain it? Probably leave it since there doesn't seem to be much other liquid? This looks so simple, fast and with common ingredients. Thanks! |

Nine's User ID: 8027401 United States 03/16/2012 10:13 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Thanks Old Guard. That recipe should qualify under lost cost too. The most costly item is the pineapple. Not often you find a quick and easy, inexpensive recipe that most people probably have the ingredients on hand. Hope you get your mind settled. If you want to talk, you can pm or we can go to TG's thread....or here if Flavapor won't scold us. 8) I haven't been keeping up on things very well. |

A friend of mine made this type of cake and brought it over to our house as a dessert. She made it with a frosting that she used fresh oranges and some sort of white frosting in a blender. It was a very "summery" type taste with the pineapple cake. |

It's come to a head. Quoting: old guard I'm sorry. Family issues are the worst. Most stressful and hurtful. And an only daughter. My heart goes out to you. I hope things are soon resolved. Quoting: old guard No sons...just one child that can't seem to get her shit together..I raised her first 2 children, now she's almost 9mos. pregnant with #3, and faced with homelessness...again! Uggghh. That is horrible. Is the baby daddy gone? Does she live nearby you? What are you going to do? |
Nine's User ID: 8027401 United States 03/16/2012 10:37 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Hi Flavapor. TB and I have texted a lot. Think we've both been real busy. She's sounding like Cinderalla. Shhh, don't tell her I said so. Mah hands and feet are soft as can be. Nasty callouses are gone...which is great on my feet. There's a problem with the hands though. Having to wear gloves til I get my vital callouses back! Seriously, good stuff you make. Better than the high dollar products and at a fraction of the cost! |
Southern OR User ID: 7410435 United States 03/16/2012 10:40 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | It was good but I think I should have added more mustard. How much aprox should be added? Quoting: flavapor I just blob it in there and go by color. Probably 4 or 5 tablespoons. I don't measure very often when I'm cooking. I use that on my hands and feet, I love it. I used to have really dry cuticles and pick at them and make them worse. Now theres nothing to pick at and my hands are beautiful. Hard to break the habit of trying to pick though. I have been doing it for 35 yrs. I am going to make a lotion like that for the summer. I tend to get over dry from being outside so much in the heat and sun. This year I will be ready for it and hopefully not so dry. |
