Okay this is the thing..most dry cat foods especially the cheapies have ash and it will cause UTI especially in neuterd males but I also had a female that had it. Now I use Purina One for urinary tract health. Not expensive. I just feel sad for all the kitties that were abadoned because of urinating outside the kitty box because they were sick wit a UTI and they avoid the place that gives them discomfort when a simple antibiotic and change in cat food would help. If you cant afford a vet then make payments like I do.
