The slavering Right Wing morons wanted a "constitutionally conservative" Court. Well ... that Court has flushed rights down the toilet with AMAZING speed.
Be sure and thank your local TeaBagger for the ever reaching police state.
Quoting: Scytherius You apparently didn't read how the 5-4 decision split. The 5 liberals voted that the man is dirt, the 4 conservatives voted that the man has rights. [ link to www.nytimes.com] --- The case decided Monday involved a South Carolina man, Michael D. Turner, who was repeatedly held in civil contempt and jailed for as much as a year at a time for not paying child support. Mr. Turner argued that he was too poor to pay what he owed and that a lawyer could have helped him convince the judge that jailing him was impermissible. ... Justice Breyer’s majority opinion... Justices Anthony M. Kennedy, Ruth Bader Ginsburg, Sonia Sotomayor and Elena Kagan [the liberals] joined the majority opinion in the case, Turner v. Rogers, No. 10-10. Chief Justice John G. Roberts Jr. and Justices Antonin Scalia and Samuel A. Alito Jr. [the conservatives] joined all or substantial parts of Justice Thomas’s dissent. --- Quoting: Skeptic the First The majority basicly said, "slaves have no rights." None of those majority judges can look themselves in the mirror and say they upheld the U.S. constitution with that decision. But, they can all look in the mirror and say that they pushed the agenda of the real powers that they have sworn allegiance to. Secret Societies and papal tyranny go hand and hand.
